Change of control expired last June. No worries for Parker, this merger is going through. Enjoy the pay raise the APA got for you!
Change of Control is defined in the East Contract, Section 1, and does not expire.
Contingent Acquisition Rights, or CARs, initially provided for in LOA #63, expired last summer.
Change of Control is still in effect - and if mgmt wants to call itself "American Airlines", then they must deal with it.
Cheers.

Can we call ourselves America West and keep the catpiss call sign. Can we, can we!!

Just like our illustrious Mike Cleary got them to deal with it last time? I'm not holding my breath.

I understand your anger and desire to lash out against the damages to your career. You want someone to pay. We all get it. You aren't the first pilot to feel this way and you certainly won't be the last. What are you going to do with all that emotion? Make things worse or work to make things better?

You can continue to point fingers and be irrational about the future. You can be obstinate and set your heart to do everything you can to cut off your nose to spite your face and achieve some pyrrhic victory, or you can be rational and consider the outcome of the choices you make from here on out.

Personally I think most pilots will be mature enough to set aside the temptation to choose stupid courses of action and instead be rational and choose what is reasonable and best... and still post some fun and entertaining and bitchy posts on the forum.
Really. You east pilots have proven your theory wrong for years.

Read a CLT update of a usapa update. They are all about the sacrifices of the poor east pilots.

CLT reps said "UNCLE"...
MOU going out to the pilots for a vote.
11-0 from the BPR

Here comes the Nicolau!!!
Ouch. Took three day the force feed reality to the east. Finally figured out it was either or choice

Parker has already addressed the CoC clause. Do you ever get tired of being consistently wrong?
That is why he had it put in the MOU. It meant nothing. Do you ever tire of being gullible? Cleary had a group of very astute lawyers draw up a plan to battle the COC. It may be end runned, it may not. It will do one thing. It will make it very difficult for Parker, as well as very expensive to get his deal. It will serve its' purpose.

What a sad life. Bitter and fixated with a web board. Posting minute after minute.

The genius of Mike Cleary is going to come home for the chagrin of Parker. Change of Control is going to tie Parker up in a very nice fashion for a long, long time. He may ultimately win, but it may cost him control of the merged entity. He is going to have his hands full very shortly.
BS! Mike Cleary is and was a complete loser and will go down in history as the biggest failure as a one term union president. Even a bigger failure than John prater.

If Cleary was such a success why was he not carried into the next term on the shoulders of his admirers? He did not even run. Why was his hand picked radical successor McKee not elected?

If that loser Cleary was a genius why was the "moderate" Hummel elected?

CoC like LOA93 is nothing but a distraction and rallying cry for the radicals hoping to keep the gullible in line with empty promises of DOH and pie in the sky contracts.

The problem is as you all have seen when the promises fail like the ALPA leaders the east guy will attack and blame them.

Bradford and Cleary enjoy the rest of your career as the most hated men in the company. You might find someone to fly with you once in awhile. If you don't get run off.

Change of Control is in your contract and is in effect the day you win it in arbitration. It WILL expire the second there is a joint contract with AA which contractually has to happen before you can even get an arbitrator to hear the case. So you are putting the entire MOU, pay raise, extra vacation, the seat at the bargaining table and the advantage at the seniority integration on hold for something you will never see.

Those are not my sentiments BTW. That is what our paid negotiator told us repeatedly. What is there about it that is so ambiguous that you cannot understand???
