CLT REPS WERE RE ELECTED BY A 71.88 NO VOTE FOR THE RECALL

ALMOST 1200 PILOTS VOTED IN THE RECALL ELECTION

APPEARS THAT ONLY THE ORIGINAL PETITION SIGNERS REQUESTING THE RECALL VOTED YES FOR THE RECALL , Sure sorry Danny boy!!!!

miserably failed. NOW THE RECALL OF HUMMEL STARTS.!!
Congratulations. Majority rules the day.

You DO realize that this has no bearing whatsoever on the vote for the MOU, or the outcome of the seniority integration... Right?

Interesting that you are the LOUDEST (Big font and bold colors and all) cheerleader when something goes your way, but slither away in silence not to be heard from when you lose.

So that begs the question, if the MOU passes by a wide margin, and others come here and gloat to you with Big font and bold colors, will you congratulate your opponents and accept the will of the majority? Or does that only apply when you are in the majority? Serious question. Be honest.

Same goes for seniority. If in the end, we are victorious and the Nicolau award (or something very closely resembling it) is actually used in the APA/USAPA SLI, will you man up and congratulate the victors like an honorable man would? Or do you plan another temper tantrum? If the Nic is not used, I will gladly commit right here and now to be first to come here and admit that I was wrong and you were right. Same goes if the MOU fails. How about you?

Maybe we've been googling the wrong term. I tried legitimate union objective and got this http://www.nrtwc.org/nl/nl201201.pdf.

How hard can it be? ;-)

That is a PDF and I guess it won't open. Here is an excerpt:

"In today's America, prosecutions of
Big Labor arson, assaults, death
threats, and other serious crimes are
extraordinarily difficult.
Such prosecutions are frequently
hindered because of a loophole in
federal law that exempts extortionate
violence from prosecution when it is
committed pursuant to so-called
"legitimate union objectives."

I have a friend that has been right more than wrong on these things. He comes from a union family. He says that legitimate union purpose or legitimate union objective is one of those terms that is so nebulous that it gives the CBA a lot of power. Who knows...we'll see of events don't make it moot.

My original post about "every eastie knows" was a jab at DCA319. He is not an east pilot, as is obvious.

ALPA did sux, USAPA is worse.

It's the pilots, not the name on the Union Hall door.
Ergo my point. You think our pilots are worse, no matter what the name. I genuflect to your superior intellect and logic (NOT)!

Talk about your superior intellect and logic. Are you Vulcan??

That would be an insult, Mr. Spock.

Congrats to the CLT reps. Time to move on, the process was followed and a bigger majority of the pilots voted than I expected. If this was an anomaly, there will be an election in the fall. Interesting who got the most YES(to recall) votes.

Yes you are right it's DOH, at least we agree on that. The MOU will probalbly pass but not by as much as we originally thought. but keep your fingers crossed that it fails.

Election Schedule (Voting Period Ends):

Tuesday, February 5th: 2:00 pm - CLT Rep Recall

Thursday, February 7th: 2:00 pm - PHL Rep Election

Friday, February 8th: 2:00 pm - MOU ratification
I happen to notice the occasional "drive by fruiting" from USA320Pilot, aka "he who shall not be named". When I answer him with FACTS he fails to respond in kind. Probably over at his pilotaction website complaining to those who will listen to his "beliefs".

It's no wonder the CLT recall failed. Look towards Thursday and see strike two hit em right where it counts.

Lets see what Friday has to offer. Friday....TGIF!!!

I think you are talking about Chimp, anything asscoiated with him always fails, our ace in the hole.

I posted the question, "Do the APA pilots acquire 13.5% of APA or 13.5% of the new combined airline after the merger. I believe cactusboy was reading something else. Anyone have a good answer? I know they get 13.5 merger or no merger. Should they get a big bonus if we merge?

I have a call into the NAC, but I presume that the 13.5% pre-merger would translate into a percentage of the new company. For instance if the successor were to offer the UCC 70 cents on the dollar, then a member of the UCC would see a return of 70% of the original investment. That's just a guess.

When I get a response, I'll try to tack in on this thread.

The process was not followed as the PIC violated comm policy during the recall. Standby to standby.
