Quite the opposite scab dipshit. See you in court after the POR. Best of luck convincing a Judge there was never a merger with America West.

Judges usually require a certain level of decorum in their courts (potty mouths don't get special treatment), and usually judges don't admit classes of folks that are explicitly bound, until after the time at which conditions of ripeness are met.

The extra bonus in this little drama is the cockroach of the airline industry US Airways will finally get squished and be dumped in to the trash heap of history.

I will no longer have to tell people that I am a US Airways pilot. Welcome to am-ur-i can!

Well then, I guess there's a little something in this for everyone, because I sure am looking forward to getting rid of the "Catpiss" call sign!

Lawyer: "In the eight years previous did you ever pilot an AWA aircraft, did you ever fly with an AWA F/A or F/O, and did you ever participate in any system bid at that included the former AWA bases of PHX and LAS?"

Me: "No Sir, I did not."

Greeter
Lawyer: Did the airline have a single operating certificate? Did the airline have a single training program? Did other work groups have joint contracts and integrated work groups?

Answer: Why yes sir that is all true.

Lawyer: Why did the pilots group not use the agreed to arbitrated list?

Answer: Because the east pilots are incapable of living up to their agreements, held their breath and stomped their feet costing all of us money by delaying a joint contract.

I actually like that picture of Scott from the NYT. Nice. Perhaps you can post a picture of yourself for us to all enjoy. Any picture, from even your young days! My personal computer does not have the crunching power to Photoshop you, maybe LEO has one you can borrow.

As to the life left in USAPA, probably about 6-10 months. Keep those dues coming, the requirement for payment in full will transfer to APA.

Greeter

Oh yes.

The APA is going to get us a pay raise by cutting the taxes taken by the union. What a deal. Better service at less cost.

It is all good!

You did not hear? Parker agreed to keep the CAACTUS call sign until you "professionals" can manage to get it right.

It will bring us all together.

Why would I do that? AMR has great potential. US was a garbage airline, very different. You should know that.

Did you happen to read the following article from The Street.com yesterday:

http://www.thestreet...int=morefrombox

The author draws some parallels between Frank Lorenzo and Doug Parkers' moves in the airline industry over the years. True enough, they both seem to have a lot in common.

To quote: "Lorenzo was also a leader in growing through mergers. In 1972, he took over Texas Air International, a small, insignificant, cash-squeezed western airline. In 14 years, he built the world's largest airline holding company. Similarly, in 2001, Doug Parker took over as CEO of America West, a small, insignificant, cash-squeezed western airline. On Thursday, when US Airways (LCC_) is expected to merge with American Airlines, (AAMRQ.PK), Parker would become CEO of the world's largest airline."

That's the thing about this industry, some things just never change much!

I have no problem recognizing Doug Parker. I am glad at his success, and hope it finally starts to rub off on me (boy, that sounds bad!) Did you personally hire him, or did you just happen to end up at AWA? I know the answer, including the fact you must have been hired over the phone (as was I.)

Greeter (good luck to us all Chill, each and every one.)

Hired over the phone? You're resume must have been way better than mine, I had a two day interview. Of course that was back when there was a sim ride. I'm sure you interviewed better than me. Like an idiot, when asked who my first choice was I said, "Alaska Airlines." Still can't believe they hired me on the spot. Just dumb luck I guess. If I remember right only AWA, Southwest and Air Tran were hiring when I interviewed. Alaska off and on.

Bean

P.S. I would have said, "American," because my mentor in aviation was an American captain, but they stoped hiring before I reached 1000+ 121 PIC. Looks like I may end up being an American pilot after all......... maybe.

Anything written by Ted Reed should just be ignored. He shot his credibility long, long ago.

Answer: Well, that would be DOH.

Now that we are moving on, I can say this freely.
Some of you easties are completely ignorant of reality. Read the above post and remember, you are here for one reason only: Doug Parker. You are here because of America West.

You all are quite welcome. Good night to all and best wishes, even to you greedy, self serving idiots.

Hope you didn't forget to send Doug a valentine!!
