Not sure how you equate one with the other, but it's your choice. I assure you Tom and Mike are NOT "yes men". Personally, I think the only reason you are getting a vote at all is because we threatened the CLT reps with a recall.

Did you guys dust off the Let My Daddy Vote signs and use them?

This management has made MILLIONS with a divided pilot group. What makes anyone think they wouldn't do it again?

What's their reason(s) for so suddenly, now wanting ANY agreement at all?

Management didn’t divide the pilot group; that was all a result of the east pilots refusing to accept the results of binding arbitration (a process that that is designed to be “binding” so as to eliminate disputes and compel all parties abide by the results without equivocation). The east pilots alone bastardized the very process that was intended to bring unity out of division and thus have left all pilots without a chance of getting a new contract or having any form of wage improvements over the past six years.

Management has always wanted a JCBA but the east-controlled USAPA would have no part in engaging in good-faith negotiations. Management went from saying “cost-neutral” in 2005 to offering the Kirby with $120M in annual improvements. What has USAPA done to show they are willing to come to a reasonable negotiated solution on a new CBA? Oh they did come to terms on a MOU which has only served to further divide the east pilots into an even more fractured group. So now we have west pilots as a one group; east pilots favoring a recall in another group, east pilots favoring no recalls in another group and then those who support the MOU and those who don’t despite a unanimous recommendation from the BPR and other top officials in USAPA to approve it.

East pilots and USAPA know nothing of unity and as long as there is no unity there will be no new contract. A merger and a dethroning of the east pilot majority is the only way wage improvements will come to this group. LOA93 must be a comfortable safety blanket for you all since you destroy any and all efforts to leave it behind for something that actually improves your own financial situations.

Oh well. Why waste more time with any such pathetic excuses for people as are always so hell-bent on finding rationales for immediate and unconditional surrender.

Hey now. That kind of talk is more suited to Claxon. You are casting a pretty wide net there.

This is a risk/reward decision, not surrender. And for once there is a reward to look at. And hopefully you can admit that some on here that are screaming the loudest don't have the best track record. Let's review some rallying cries:

-"We can get rid of the Nicolau award AND get a contract!"
-"Those Cactus 18 will be shown who is boss!"
-"Identity theft! Identity theft! Somebody is going to jail!"
-"Mark my word, Kasher will pay!"
-"Well, we still have the 3%!"
-"I'm onboard, we are taking back this airline!"

It's frustrating when you feel like you are on the losing side of a vote or argument. I've been there and sometimes I was right, sometimes I was wrong. It's the way it works.

Venting is allowed.

Greeter,

About halfway down on the right side of Aisle 10 in your store you will find tubes of KY Jelly. Best stock up. Those APA boys will be in the foxhole directly behind you. And you can be sure they won't bring those supplies.

George, you seem in the know as to the use, potential abuse, and location of those products. I personally have no need for them. Get your thoughts back in the discussion at hand. Please.Greeter

Glad to see you're back. Another good post today. It's good to see this pragmatism on this board to counter the junk Claxon and luv post.

Get in that foxhole with the AA pilots, and you will need it. Just sayin'

Do you REALLY think post-merger we will be all one happy pilot family? It's just the next act. They would TWA us in a New York second if not for McCaskill-Bond.

More money, better contract, no LOA93 - works for me. And didn't we want to TWA the west as well?
