Both. From the LUV Quarterly report:
So even all the way through '07, the majority of their usage is hedged. At $70/bbl, even that 2009 hedge don't look too bad.
Wow Clue, You must have good connections, or your're a prophet....
Not many people can say without a shout of a doubt that the price of a barrel of oil will be $70.00 in 2009..

While you're at it, would you gives us the winning lottery numbers for the next drawing ??

LUV's fuel hedging advantage will continue to erode..

Luv is a good airline, no doubt. But they are not omnipotent.

OK,YOU ARE RIGHT!! How about back to the original point that nobody but SWA has consistantly made money and how the list I provided of faltering airlines are as good as US at always blaming fuel for its problems.

Your take a piece of the story and pick it apart to make yourself feel or look superior is what piisses people off at you. Geez, 700..YOU THE MAN..YOU GOT IT!! the REST of us are stupid. Happy now?

LCC, your post was right on the money except for a few things that were definately PICKED APART. As for ATA yeah they are still around but DEFINATELY a shell of what it was. I hate when it's US this and US that. Yeah, I think the whole website issue is a shame but many other things with this company have really turned around. It's definately a nice change to see the passengers reading USA Today's onboard that don't have Titles about your company going under. Every airline out there except for WN maybe to a degree has the same problems. Again...right on the money LCC.
