Is something going on in CVG on the ramp at Delta?
Tough day to be in CVG...

Given the company's penchant to deliver bad news in the shadow of larger stories, I sure hope nothing similar happens on profit sharing day...

those poor folks in CVG just sems to not be able to catch a break   wonder how long itll be before DL decides when to stop slicing CVG  or if theyll keep it open for business

At this rate itll be less flights than what US did to PIT

Those don't sound half bad; wish they would let us try some of those models in ACS...

Why am I NOT surprised.

From Ramp Facts:

Let me understand this correctly- Delta is farming out career, head of household jobs in Cincinnati to DGS during the most profitable time in our history? Reading the article on DeltaNet, they're still in need of workers for the cargo operation, it's just that they're going to be worked by a vendor. This portion of what they're doing isn't "right sizing", let's call it what it is- it's the farming out of career jobs. Can you imagine what is going to happen when Delta actually experiences financial turbulence?

Workers in Cincinnati that are affected have been reading the same praise all of us have been reading thanking us for making this the #1 airline. They've busted their backs day in and day out believing in the Delta culture of taking care of its employees. Then one day they go to work and find out their jobs are being "transitioned".

How much more is it going to take before we demand a union contract? The bottom line is that this is a business, not a friendship. If you care about your career as I do mine, please step up and collect cards to form a union. Who knows, one day it may be our career that depends on it. Don't wait until it's too late.

A union can and does help prevent layoffs, as there are set and solid process when it does occur.

Its quite a shame that DL employees effect in CVG are not being allowed to exercise their seniority and be allowed to work where they can, instead of being forced to a city they dont want to go to a city they dont want or high cost while there are junior employees in cities where they could have gone.

And now DL is taking away SIDA access to flight crews:

Once again, I was asked to make a post for a member.
SIDA Badges (Red AOA Badges DTW) will not be renewed. Requiring Flight Attendants and Pilots to ride the Non-AOA buses and enter the terminal via KCM. LAX and SLC will be effected too. From the Flight Operations Weekly Update: February 3, 2016: Flight Attendants and Pilots will no longer be able to renew SIDA badges at Wayne County Airport Authority. As your badges expire you will need to obtain a parking paddle and gain entry to the terminal utilizing the Non-AOA bus and KCM. The Badging Office representative said that this decisions was not made by the Wayne County Airport Authority and that they only learned of it when crew members began to make inquiries and they confirmed it with the Chief Pilots office in DTW. The Badging Representative said it was a DAL Corporate Decision.

LAX: Los Angeles based crewmembers who currently have LAX SIDA badges will be allowed to keep their badge until the badge expires, but will no longer be able to renew their badge.
New LAX SIDA badges will not be issued.

SLC: Expiring SLC badges will not be renewed and sometime in the near future, flight crew members will be required to surrender their SLC DOA SIDA badges.

So lets add this to the list of unproven statements, so let me ask you again.
