Campaign Update, the Clock is Ticking

Since the turn of the new year, our IAM-Delta campaign has hit a new gear. Tens of thousands of individualized, sequenced election authorization cards (A-cards) have been mailed to Delta Flight Attendants, emphasizing the importance of signing, dating, verifying and returning our a-cards now.

Signed A-cards have been flowing into IAM Headquarters and we are nearing our goal of being able to request an election for union representation. However, we are not there yet and that's why it's of the utmost importance to get our A-cards submitted today.

We will be able to file for our election as soon as early April. To be successful, we need all Delta Flight Attendants who seek a real Voice in our shared future to submit their A-cards today and encourage our co-workers to do the same. Call your friends. Talk to your Flight Attendant co-workers face to face and tell them the benefits of forming a union.

To realize our goal, Delta Flight Attendants are phone-banking and making house calls in targeted locations around the country. These Flight Attendant activist volunteers realize the urgency of our campaign and are doing everything in their power to get us to an election. We need you to have that same urgency and send in your A-card today.

Remember, it is our legal right under federal law to freely form a union. And for those of us that are fearful that Delta will discover who signed an A-card, don't be afraid. Delta is prohibited under federal law from ever finding out who signed an A-card or how we vote in a union representation election.

Delta management will continue do everything in its power to prevent Delta Flight Attendants from attaining a vote for union representation. We all must ask ourselves why Delta management would do anything and everything to prevent a vote.
The answer is that at present Delta management can change any of our terms of employment at any time for any reason and that is very valuable. The massive cut in our profit sharing pool, staffing reductions on certain aircraft, the ability to pass along health insurance and prescription drug costs are just a few examples.

Our shared future as Delta Flight Attendants should not be decided solely by Delta management. We deserve a say in the decisions that affect our professions and lives. That is why we need to send in our A-cards today.

Just to add on to baba post. DPA is not dalpa. It is a break away group of mostly former nwa pilots . Their goal is to start a new union. Not going to happen .They have been caught sending out miss information and their influence is mainly amongst the junior pilots.

Hi,

It’s been quite a while since I’ve sent an email out regarding the IAM and their catastrophic campaign to organize the Delta flight attendants – you know, that monumental con that slammed into a giant iceberg last summer and sank like the Titanic filled with screaming activists stuck in the steerage compartment several floors below the deck.  And over the past months many of you have contacted me requesting an update on the Department of Justice’s investigation into alleged fraud involving that old-guard, smack-them-on-the-back, wink-wink, grease-my-palm-please-with-some-Alexander Hamiltons, industrial-style, corrupt union/organization/collection agency or whatever they claim to be these days.
What file this April 2016?

Anyways, with the IAM promising to once again file for an election at Delta “as soon as early April,” according to their latest email (Feb. 25), rumor has it that the ongoing DOJ investigation might soon drop a list of names tied to last year’s card signing fiasco in which thousands of Delta Flight Attendant names were reportedly forged in order for the IAM to reach the bare minimum number of signatures to trigger a representation election.

While that hot mess will probably come to a boil very soon, in late January the Department of Labor released a big whammy concerning the IAM’s highly touted (by them of course) Pension Plan, which sounds more and more like a Pension Scam. This is important for everyone to know and carefully consider before making a monumental mistake and signing an IAM “A-card.” Because according to the IAM, “Delta Flight Attendants are phone-banking and making house calls in targeted locations around the country” – so someone might soon be pounding on your front door soon and shoving a card in your face.
Consider this – the Department of Labor has filed a lawsuit against a number of current and former IAM National Pension Fund trustees alleging multiple violations of federal laws protecting employees in pension plans.

The suit alleges that IAM National Pension Fund trustees breached their fiduciary duties by:

  • Failing to loyally and prudently select fund service providers, including consultants and fund investment managers;
  • Regularly ignoring required procedures included in the fund’s governing plan documents;
  • Creating conflicts of interest for the fund;
  • Unlawfully soliciting and accepting gratuities from plan service providers; and
  • Spending and permitting others to spend fund assets lavishly on unnecessary trips, parties and extravagant food, wine, and accommodations.
Oink oink – sounds like the slop must have been pretty thick at whatever grease-fest, good-ole’ boy, Vegas-style, cigar-smoke-filled-backroom-here-come-the-topless-dancing-babe-parties where the guys were blowing through hard working dues paying members’ money on goodness knows what – hookers and booze?

Oh my, shouldn’t they be a little more concerned about avoiding prison, and a little less determined to infest Delta with their brand of pestilence?
Please feel free to share this email and if others want to be added to this bulk email list - simply go here - http://joseaibarra.blogspot.com/ - and enter email.

Sincerely,

Jose Arturo Ibarra

Jose's still around? And people still believe he's genuine?

Lol. Awesome.

Welp, so far pretty much everything he's said has turned out to be true.

Cant say I'm surprised you're buying what he's selling...

Has he been wrong?

No, apparently he has not as history shows.

He traffics in rumor and innuendo, and is masterful at playing into people's confirmation biases. Your responses to me in his thread demonstrate that quite well. We all see what we want to see, right?

We'll just have to agree to disagree on that Kev.

True, but for what is chump change to them, they get positive PR and warm fuzzies.  And, with the ensuing tax deduction, they do in fact, get to keep at least part of it.
