Delta to buy American routes from MIA and DFW?

If you define autocracy as remaining union-free, then, yes, DL is willing to continue to increase pay as much as it can to keep a difference between the pay and benefits of its employees and those of other airlines.

I agree that words like culture and family are all marketing and probably not near as relevant as they were when DL employees bought the 767.

At the end of the day, it still shows that DL has increased its pay sufficiently to keep out unions and keep its people happy - and you and others will have a hard time convincing DL employees that they should settle for representation at the risk - very likely of watching their salary increases come to a halt. DL drove that point home very clearly by not increasing the pay of PMNW employees to DL levels until the representation issues were finally settled.

It is mighty hard to win a battle when the other party has the checkbook and isn't afraid to use it.

Not sure what this has to do with AA, MIA, and DFW but I enjoy chatting w/ you on whatever page we are on.... just so that SOME people know that I realize we are not in a topic that has much of anything to do w/ DL salary/employment issues.

I'm using the standard definition of the word. Read into that what you will...
