DL ending mainline shuttle?

Someone told me Shuttle America is taking over LGA-BOS shuttle flying. Is this true? That would be disappointing, to say the least.
 
I have not heard that but wouldn't be surprised... many people think the Shuttle (for DL and US) is profitable but that certainly has not been the case for years. Loads are off due to Amtrak and flying short haul flights is not as efficient on any route.. and will become less efficient as fuel prices go up.
Given that DL wanted to move the Shuttle into the new combined DL/US terminal at LGA and have US take over the Marine Air Terminal, I have a feeling part of the intention was for DL to be able to connect passengers to/from the Shuttle at LGA which is impossible to do with the regular and Shuttle operations on opposite sides of the airport. Not sure if US decided they didn't want to go to the MAT or DL decided it wouldn't effect what they were going to do w/ the Shuttle anyway (and there is a passenger benefit to having the Shuttle in a separate terminal) but not being able to connect passengers to/from the Shuttle will effect its long term viability.

OTOH, with US having only hub flights from LGA, they won't be connecting passengers to/from the Shuttle at least at LGA - wihch they have done for a number of years - so their level of service might be reduced as well.
 
The US Shuttle and mainline flights are still going to be in the US Airways Terminal C, so connections are possible.

but if there is nothing coming into LGA "north" of LGA except BOS (which has service to all US hubs anyway) and all flights will be to US hubs, what will logically connect?

I have heard rumors of DCA-LGA going all 319.

but its Delta, so wouldn't shock me at all for BOS-LGA to go all S5. :angry:
