"Does Usairways Reservations Center In San Salvador Close In Observation Of The Annual Running Of The Bulls? "

The answer to your question is: YES they do observe by shutting their center down and re-routing calls to PHX.. and causing us AM WEST AGENTS to work ADD hours........GOOD GOING SAN SALVADOR!!!

Where did you get that information from PHXRES? Do you know what services the San Salvador office provides? DO you know how many people work there?

they supposively HANDLE "some" of the international calls/reservations..Notice I use the term "handle" in the loosest way possible......Am west and US Air Callers/Customers are constantly complaining that they receive "poor customer" service from the Am west /US Air AGENTS located on FOREIGN SOIL....Have heard nothing but praise for the AGENTs working in the US locations such as Reno, Phx, winston-salem, pit etc etc.........
"DO you know how many people work there?"..not a clue.....On the graveyard shift (12 midnight to 5 am)there cant be too many though.........

San Slavador does not speak to Americans on US soil to make reservations They are specifically for the Central American Spanish speaking market, they also have some other functions that are not res. based, and do the jobs well.

I understand you are angry about your pay compared to ours. Believe me, we in INT know. Just remember there is alot of things we dont like, and we have taken hits more than alot of other areas over the years, but please dont knock people who are doing the best they can with limited training, and didnt ask for the jobs to be taken offshore.

In saying this I am not endorsing outsourcing either, I just dont think it accomplishs anything by trashing people because they are foreigners.

I thought San Salvador handled web based issues and baggage?? Manila and Mexico City handled other calls? Actually, INT closes for the running of the bulls toooo.....everyday at 5 pm they watch the managers running for the door trying to avoid a agent with a question...

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
