Maybe if we all vote yes all the planes that were parked in the desert and a new order of 717s and 737s will bring back everone and we all live happily everafter!Maybe im crazy?

There is no good way to go. Had AA gone in with the idea of working this out in a mutually beneficail way. There would be only a slight chance of a turn down by the employees. Unforutatly. They decided to go back to the old ways of so called barganing. The cram it down your throat take it or leave it. Like in the strike of ''93, AA found out 97% of there flight attendants said keep it, I''m walking. AA believes they have all the cards, and maybe they do. But the hand they are trying to play is going to be the death of us all.

Maybe.

From the Definitely Gonna Happen Department:

Vote No, AMR files for Chapter 11 protection immediately.

No more fuel hedging - look at UAL. Bankrupt carriers can''t guard against expensive fuel, like AA and others have done.

Interest rates paid by AMR will increase, further threatening the survival of American Airlines.

Vendors will want COD terms, further threatening the survival of AA.

AMR will demand even more in concessions, and if you don''t vote YES to those, AMR will seek to abrogate your contracts.

If the contracts are tossed, AMR will impose its terms on you (and, of course, you could strike, further threatening the survival of AA).

More of your union brothers and sisters will be laid off regardless of the concessions (airlines always get smaller in BK, not larger).

There are plenty more, but I''ve got beans to count.
