Employee Rewards For Not Coming To Work

Mark My Words... Why don't you do the same thing you do at all the other stations to ensure you don't have an operational meltdown?????????????????????????????

Sorry to say, it wasn't a good morale move, as many other stations are involved in the day to day operations as well. So, to hell with them and lets pay attention to the problem child.

But they did have a pizza party in Clt, after the fact for the employess {hosted by Labor Relations}. Less than one pizza was eaten, as the majority decided not to attend such a function.

The employees of CLT did raffle off a 5 inch B&W TV, during the Superbowl, that went over very well. Please keep babysitting PHL, as the rest of the system will notice and appreciate that effort.

Come Xmas 2005, we will bail PHL out again, it's happened the last 2 times, nothing new....

That pizza party. Reminds me of the one held years ago when CLT found out they held a steak party in PHL....with managers cooking......then they held a hotdog meal for CLT. People still rememer that but we just keep getting slapped in the face. Absolutely, nothing against PHL but management ##$%

You're playing right into PHL's hands MMW, see how they must have a little something extra to do the job everyone else does for nothing extra...

No other station does thejob under the conditions that PHL does!
Don't beieve me?
Ask the "Temp. Duty" people that have come in from CLT and PIT.
They have never seen anything like it.
No people, No equiptment, No leadrship, No plan to fix it!

Correct, NO leadership and NO plan to fix it, is the major problem

The next Superbowl is in DTW {2006}, lets see if this "tradition" continues for the stations involved. But, it won't as the person who made that decision, will be gone by then and that will be the lousy excuse.

I remember way back in the mid 90's when AC said "I shouldn't have to put a piece of pizza in your mouth, for you to come to work"

So true Al, no one wanted to eat your pizza...!

Once again, you don't answer the question, you criticize the action YOU deem unnecessary. Is CLT short 250+ people? Does CLT have enough equipment to get the job done? How many times do you get mandatoried in a week?

Why not answer the question:

What would YOU have done to ensure we didn't have a complete operational meltdown?

Can't win around here. You #### because management doesn't care- when they try to help, you #### about that. You #### because they only brought pizza and #### because you didn't eat it. I think the other 90% of us out here trying to make a difference (and actually doing so) are tired of hearing the constant whining from you 10%. Either grab an oar and row in the same direction or jump overboard and leave us alone.

The question should be why are they 250 people short and why is no one held responsible for being 250 short?

700UW....... You are 200% correct, which is the answer to MMW question. If the situation and operation had been managed properly from CCY down there would never have been an operational breakdown. WHY CAN'T it be fixed? Who says it can't be fixed? Maybe the ones in decision making positions DO NOT KNOW what or how to fix it so they just throw money at it and hope it fixes itself!!!!!! The truth regarding the capabilities of our upper level management are certainly coming to light and are on center stage display at PHL!!!!!!

Round and Round you go... And where it stops, nobody knows!
