Hmm, So in your mind a person "bump firing" a weapon for "sport" on a closed range or on private land rates the same as somebody driving 70 down a sidewalk?
Careful where you gladly let things start being changed in a constitution. History shows time and again once it starts it goes much farther and faster than anybody imagined.
If everybody had their way we would not own cars, land, eat meat, read what we want, own guns, play video games, watch movies, etc etc etc.
For anybody that has travelled a lot around the world and has seen what is "normal" in many countries as to what you can watch, read, write, drive etc. There is a very slippery slope once long standing liberties are changed. It is very rare in history that it stops at "just this one thing".
I am outraged at the school killings as much as anyone. But if we give into fear and start banning this and banning that, it will not stop. history shows this issue over and over.
On this board alone we have proponents of banning gasoline powered cars and a whole host of other "controls" they would like to subject you to.
