I just had a friend return from a cruise via FLL and he indicated that passengers were not allowed to go through security until 2 hours before flight time.
Is that a new policy ?
Thanks

Oh, God. Don't get me started. You all remember "Calvin and Hobbes?" They had a game called "Calvinball." The only rule was that you were not allowed to use the same rule twice.

Smile and strip.

I was in FLL on New Years. They have these big digital signs up over the security checkpoints that say "now screening passengers for flights departing between X:XX and X:XX" or something to that degree. Seems aimed at keeping the lines down to manageable levels.

Actually that sounds like a pretty good idea. It might prevent grandma and grandpa from getting there 4 hours early and block trafiic because they were afraid they were going to miss there flight.

But in FLL I recall not much of a place to hang out or eat before security.
