Should Frontier(I hope NOT) soon become a casualty to the price of Jet-A, in DEN, is UAL ready to Immediately benefit ?

Better UAL  than WN

YGSM!! United ready to take advantage. It's hard for a whore with both legs spread wide begging for a merger to take advantage of someone else's misfortune. UAL is to busy putting on the makeup for a sale. Buying the scraps of Frontier would worsen that picture.

Sorry, you're personal attraction to the Rosanne Arnold of airlines doesn't mean that investors have the same infatuation.

I'm sure that if F9 were to suddenly shut down, UA would be able to put those 24 planes they are grounding right back into the air with very little work. But then again, why would you not just raise your fares? Thereby you are matching the price with the demand and not flooding the market with cheap tickets and lowering overall profit margin. If I were in charge, what I would do would be to help push F9 right off the cliff, and then take the extra seats out so I could benefit twice from their closure. In the current market nobody is going to fund an airline too long, and for proof, look at Skybus.

bwipilot,

You NEED to wrap up your "BUSINESS"  on Capital Hill first, before you start throwing Insults at anybody else.

I'm not saying UAL("TILTON") does'nt leave a lot to be desired lately, cause they do.

Well with Frontier filing Chapter 11 today, what is the prospect that UA will put the planes scheduled to be put down into service out of Denver just to push them into Chapter 7? (Liquidation) If I were running UA I would do that right now and help push them down.

Calling Mr. Fish,

Mr. Fish, your baby is in delivery in room 3A!

With UA's anouncement Friday of change fees going to $150, my bet is with WN and no change fees. See flyertalk UA page and see Denver business travelers going to WN with this announcement
