fsa stores pca iam new contract reached

Tim, is the language for unlimited part time and split shifts included in the repackaged T/A? Ready reserve/temporary language?

Delta has no scope nor protections at any station.

Correct they could outsource all stations at any time leaving their employees no recourse. However I doubt they ever do such a thing particularly with an ongoing IAM "grassroots" drive that Kev keeps talking about.

The reason why DL is able to provide more locations to its rampers and bring more work back from regional carriers to DL mainline is because DL is running a more profitable business which means they can pay a premium to keep their people happy.

UAL stock is in a hefty retreat today after UA informed the SEC and investors that its 3rd quarter revenue will be weaker than expected driven by int'l routes, including China.

"Three years after the 2010 merger between United and Continental, analysts and investors remain uncertain about the combination's success. In a July report, JPMorgan analyst Jamie Baker noted that the second quarter of 2013 represented the ninth consecutive quarter of earnings declines for the carrier.

"Wolfe Research analyst Hunter Keay also reduced estimates and said he continues to view Delta (DAL_) more favorably.

"We continue to hold a skeptical view that United's margins (and stock price) should converge to Delta's within the investable future," he wrote on Friday. "We have yet to see a data-driven argument as to why this convergence should occur."

The major reason why WN people make as well as they do and why DL employees have gained as much as they have over the past several years is because DL is running a strong and profitable business.

Unions can only negotiate what a company is capable of paying.

LOL
Companies no longer negotiate they claim bankruptcy then rape the employee and shred labor contracts.

Are the UAL mechanics still negotiating their contract?

UA prioritized where they can get their biggest reduction in costs thru the CBA process and the answer fell at the feet of their ground employees. They have little reason to push other talks right now.

But nonetheless true. But again, Kev & 700 can keep speaking about the value of representation but even the most stringent CBA can't ensure workers remain employed uninterrupted in their city of choice. The weak UA CBA will undeniably displace many workers, and not everyone has the ability to pick up and move to DEN/EWR/IAD/IAH/LAX/ORD/SFO/etc, people have families, children in school, homes they can't easily sell, etc.

Well its quite apparent you dont realize or know this has been going on for decades.

No one is guaranteed a job in their city for the life of their career.

Its well know in the airline industry that you would have to move in order to maintain employment.

At least with a CBA there is a clear and determined rules that must be followed, unlike a non-union airline that can do what they want and they do.

So you are agreeing with me. Great. So much for having a clear process when the options available to the members aren't suitable. What options did the the UA Cargo workers have that Rich Delaney contracted out? Where are the UA employees from MHT? MIA? ROC? etc...

Other opportunities within the company, and employees often receive several months of severance pay and oter benefits depending on their pay grade. Again, professionals are not tied to seniority, we are judged on performance and merit therefore enjoy greater career mobility.

So how is the performance for being an operation filled with Fraud?

$13 Billion in the US

$800 Million in the WHALE case.

What a corrupt operation, I would never let a company like yours handle my investments, while you ripped off people all over the world.

Your kidding me right? Lets see, Delta has 43
UA would have 7 at the end of this contract.

And the best you can do is "delta has no scope"....well great! thanks to the ass hats at the IAM, the best Delta employee's can hope for is they don't try to drop to UA/AA levels.
