I am not trying to be a jerk here, but Im pretty sure you didn't do your homework on THAT one....
Compare PHX and CLT - - Do you really think PHX will cut zero and CLT has layoffs? Doubtful. It'll be more like,

If the other airlines are any indication a guess would be a 10% cut for all of us.
How they work the fleet size cap is anyones guess.

I heard the F word at work today and I'm not scared about it... I thought I'd be freaking that people are mentioning it, but with all this talk of furlough parties, I'm excited. Int'l Shannon, am I invited? She said he said that 500 east pilots and 200 west pilots were getting f-bombed and a proportionate number of fa's on each side would be sitting the bench, too. How many people would take voluntary? If furloughs happen and PHX's 7000 C#'s bounce back to reserve, how many people will quit?

Well the way I see it for me on the east is if the company cuts and reduces flights and offers furloughs I'd sign right up depending on the stipulations. People senior would take if that just returned and were denied any further extensions. That would leave us higher on the list for a line BUT with less flying we'd be flying around on reserve forever. If your already on reserve and not moving anywhere fast I'd take a voluntary too if the opportunity were afforded. I couldn't sign up fast enough. Take advantage of the opportunity to start your career over. Hell a closing shift at McDoogles will give you a bigger check. Remember ketchup then mustard followed by two pickles and a dash of onion.....NEXT repeat.

I would have taken a voluntary furlough or a buyout and have been waiting for that for awhile. I couldn't wait. I have completed my last flight with good ole USAirways and I must admit I feel great. I can now enjoy tons of freedom that I feel I have not had in a long time. I can now concentrate on starting a family without the pressure of scheduling calling me in the middle of the night. I just knew for myself that I could not bear another PHL summer flying across the pond in the middle of the night after getting awoken from my sleep. I now look forward to a scheduling free summer, and wow, I am even going to spend Christmas with my family this year instead in a hotel room. I'll miss everyone, but this is right for me!

Sorry, but I couldn't take it anymore. I grew up here, but I know when my time is up. Many of my friends that took the buyout about 3 years ago are so much happier now that they are gone. They get to spend holidays with family, sleep all night without work calling, and actually, most of them have started families. I look forward to that. It has been a blast for the last 10 years, but I walk away with no regrets and a big smile on my face.
So what does everybody think about flight attendant furloughs?! Reason I'm asking... I'm a recently recalled F/A and now scared that I"m going to lose my job AGAIN in Sept or sooner.... 🙁 I really dont know what to think... or what is going to happen... hoping that some of the Senior folks take a buy-out if offered or Voluntary so it doesn't affect me... but it's probably wishful thinking....
all i know is that continental is laying off 800 f/a's .tomorrow is the shareholders meeting . i suggest who ever can, to listen in.
