What does a thug look like? When I was about 24 I was robbed at gun point (two gun points actually) by two guys dressed in polo shirts, khakis and loafers. One of my tenants in a rental property has tattoos every where (neck, hands, arms ... ) and I suspect looks like what I guess you would call a thug. He ended up being one of my best tenants. Paid on time and never complained about anything. I think I was over there twice to do minor repairs. Incredible artist as well. He painted motor bikes for a living and did modern portraits on the side. Very neat kid. Bottom line is don't judge a book by it's cover. I don't assume someone who looks like a thug is a thug or that someone who does not look like one is not one. Has nothing to do with 'victims'. It has to do with assumptions. There are far to many people who are scared of 'others'. I was always raised that anyone has the potential to be a $$hole or a good person. The color of their skin, appearance, religion or what ever are not very reliable indicators. I have have two very good friends who are very religious, I have had a girlfriend who was black. I have a good friend who is Muslim who I piss off all the time when I offer him a ham and cheese sandwich when ever he comes over. He threatens me with a Fatwa and it's all good in the hood. Who exactly is the thug?

Speaking soley from a white perspective, I find it incredulous to see Sharpton and Jackson stirring the racial cesspool on MSM anytime it even smells like a white thang going down with the brothers....ie: Duke Lacross, Tawana Bradley and more recently this Martin gig. So a guy goes through the legal system, jurors examine the evidence and is found not guilty......the legal system worked like it or not. I don't remember white people going bonkers rioting and such when OJ was afforded the same chance.

Where was the outrage recently when 4 blacks beat to death a white boy, a real dyed in the wool honk, no Heinz 57 mixed breed?

Where is the daily outrage over black on black murder? No camera time for Sharpton and Jackson. And I don't believe the majority of the black community follow those two, only the ones who hold hatred dear to their hearts do.

It is the minority of the black community here that has shown its racist face over this issue. They are the ones up to and including the government who turned this into a racial issue.

I grew up with thugs, almost a thug myself.
Thugs can come in any color, shape or form - tattooed or not. But I can always spot a thug by his walk, talk and demeanor.
