Maybe so. I don't carry a gun.Since I don't own a gun, I wouldn't have followed Martin. But I think that the gun by Zimmerman's side gave him some courage that he might have lacked otherwise. I don't think that was the purpose of concealed carry laws. I believe concealed carry was passed to allow someone to defend themselves - NOT to give people the courage to put themselves into a situatrion where they might have to defend themself. If Martin were a true thug, he most likely would have been carrying a Glock and "popped" Zimmerman before a single punch was swung. But he was just a "wannabe". Zimmerman was a complete idiot because let's say Martin DID have that Glock - would Martin have been justified by defending himself against someone was relentlessly tailing him...making him fear for his life? Or we he have just been a gangsta wannabe and found himself serving 25 to life for doing the exact same thing Zimmerman did.d
I have a home defender that I haven't shot in years.
It very well could be that Zimmerman was a little more cocky since he had a weapon, however, IMHO, he didn't know if lil Trayvon had a weapon or not.
Sure, if Zimmerman did not confront lil Trayvon, none of this would have happened. But lil Trayvon should have used his street smarts and not try to beat the crap out of a cracker that was 'legally' armed. Bad JuJu...
I certainly don't have an answer and doubt many do.
I wasn't there but as with all of 'us' #### house lawyers, both Zimmerman & lil Trayvon should have talked before the crap hit the oscillating device.
Did lil Trayvon just start beating the crap out of the cracker Zimmerman just because?
lil Trayvon could have said "Sorry Dude, I live at "XXXX" and I am on my way home."
