Does anyone know the reason for Saturday's GLA-PHL flight going tech? Resulting in two flights this morning.

Ah thanks. The 757 has gone tech today, so I guess we will have 2 departures again tomorrow...Not the best of starts to the Summer by US. Although apart from these 2 instances the time keeping has been excellent.

A/C Broken once again in GLA. Fuel Leak this time requiring a tank dive.

Hope there's a warranty on these "certified preowned" 757's.

Can someone explain to me what, exactly, a "tank dive" is?

Opening up the fuel tank and going inside it, usually has to be a smaller type guy, depending on the plane, you also have to take a lot of precautions and used an air supply to breath.

US/East use to have a fuel tank entry crew.

Ok, the PHL-GLA on the 4th August was cancelled, resulting in today's GLA-PHL (5th) being cancelled. Does anyone know why?

AGH! I did that in my early years in the Air Force. All the NCOs were fat and couldn't fit in the tanks, so guess who dived in? The wing fuel tank of a C-130 is no place for the claustrophobic.

They seem to be having a number of large delays and cancellations since the switched to the 757s at Glasgow.
