Got my statement from ceridian and the premium was increased 20.00 for each person. I looked over my records for the past year and I paid in 2160.00 and AA paid out 346.79 for me. AA made a profit of 1813.79 off me for 2006. I think it is time to drop them and the rest of you should look at this also. As far as I am concerned, it is just another screwing we retirees got from Don and Bill so that Bill could enjoy his millions that he got as a kickback. I do not intend to offend any of you pilots on this, but it really does upset me the way all this has turned out.

Whats Ceridian?

Boo f&&&ing hoo. Try getting similar coverage on your own, or better yet, living without insurance.

You say AA only paid out $346 for you in 2006. What did they pay out for you between 2002 and 2005?? What will they pay out on your behalf in 2007, 2008, 2009, and beyond?

Chances at your age are that you will receive more over a ten year period than you'll pay into the plan.

I used to #### about how much my homeowners insurance was in Texas. Twelve years without a claim, so they were just raking in the dough and making a profit off me. Then in 2004, I lost part of my roof and had my carpets and hardwood floors destroyed by water damage during a hail/windstorm. The amount of that single claim was far more than the premiums I'd paid to State Farm. And I was damn happy to have the insurance I did.

You would never understand. When I reired my medical was to be paid for me. Good ole4 Bill and Don took care of that. I retired because of a disablility, not by my choice. Why dont you try making it on the income I have and then have your premiums jacked up every year. I hope the same does not happen to you. I do not believe that you would be able to handle it. You are nothing but a know it all management suck A$$.

How about providing us with an actual title for the thread so that we at least have some sort of clue as to what your whining about?

NO the didn't your premium is subsidez by AA, they pay most of it, you pay a part of it. Chances are that your premiums increase more that the $20.00.

I hear that the annual country club dues that AA pays for its executives has gone up 10%.

SUCK IT UP!

Will you ever stop whining? You did not work a day in your life for AA; yet AA subsidizes your insurance and, more importantly, affords you the opportunity to participate in a group policy as opposed to having you buy an individual insurance policy (if you are lucky enough to qualify for one). Have you ever compared the difference in the cost of premiums between group and individual insurance coverages?

Have you read what happened to retirees' health insurance of those who retired from union jobs in the steel and automobile industries?

What about the almost 20,000 former TWA employees who were actually employed by AA after the acquisition? Compared to them you are doing quite well. Most of the TWAers were laid off and were left out in the cold with NO insurance and NO passes. Oh, I almost forgot, you don't like the TWR boarding priority either. Most of the TWAers would love to have the benefits that you despise so much.

Hey LAWYER,
You can go straight to H E L L

You really think employers make a profit by offering health insurance to their employees and retirees?

If you really feel you are getting ripped off and can opt out of their coverage, you should do so.

Got a lawyer from the Bay area that could not make it on his own without having his wife work as a F/A. You have a lot of room to talk. I once thought you were a nice guy, but your true colors are coming out.

I'm kind of curious, why isn't your medical covered by your LTD, Social Security, or Medicare if you are disabled?

Like a lot of people I grumbled about the fact that my health insurance went up for 2007. In my case it went up $17. Then I look at the big picture and realize it's not such a bad deal. If my wife and I were to get health insurance from her employer it would cost about three times that. And forget about retiree health care. Prefunding is not so bad considering the alternative.

I take it it was to be paid under a TWA contract with one of it's unions?

 ! You may need a lawyer someday who knows the in's and out's of this business. My guess is TWAnr will not take your money to help you out after that comment.

If and when I need a lawyer, I will hire a real LAWYER.
