BTW...George Washington was the first and only elected independent President, as he was not formally affiliated with any party during his two terms.

To vote for McCain is to weigh heavily on his VP choice. After the showing that Powell made, I wouldn't vote for him either. Any of the DEM's are out because they have nothing to offer (other than being lying, disingenuous, back biting, scum).

I really thought McCain being ex-GI/POW was a good mold for a future President/Politician but after seeing some of the things hes co-sponsored and watching him kowtow with the left has left me rather disappointed.Sometimes I wonder if hes another Arlen Specter in drag. :unsure:
