While looking through the Philadelphia Court System's public information pages I came across this:

If I'm reading it right it looks like Armedio plead guilty (conviction) to some charges back in 1989 and was put on five years probation. Theft by receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy. Aren't those felonies? If so does the IAM make it a practice to put convicted felons on the payroll?

i don't know the iam leadership , hmmm who is this man and what does he do for the IAM ?

Because I do not Armedio personally and only have met him in passing.

I do not comment on things I dont know.

Stick to the topic Bob and dont make it about me.

DMG,

You are a veritable fount of information - very interesting.

This leads to the basic question - What did IAM know, and when did they know it?

'Cause there's only two explanations:

1. IAM knew, and appointed him anyway (he, as every other D141 official, was appointed to his first post, not elected), or

2. He concealed it - IIRC, he didn't rise to power until after his probation was up (has IAM ever heard of background checks? ?)

IAM apologists will raise the point "the man did his time, give him a second chance, etc."

Wonder how good the membership is with a guy that pled guilty to receiving stolen property? Guess they can connect the dots to how their dues money gets pi$$ed away.

700,
D141 and IAM HQ sachems sure as he// know him. What do you think they should do?

DMG,

Any scoop on who's stolen property (maybe company, or gasp! , union) it was? Because the answer to that may change this to 'Double Jeopardy', where the scores can really change!

No, I don't have any other info on the prior case. I know someone who may know, so I'll see what I can find out.

 Can't believe I missed it until now.

That case was 19 years ago, gimme a break and he recieved probabtion.

And show me where the charges were felony.

Well you are a unconvicetd criminal for breaking and entering into your coworkers office and stealing information so that makes you a thug just like them if under your thought process.

And a person convicted of one crime of recieving stolen property is way differant than a person convicted of DUI FOUR Times is way differant.

Not one of the 10 have been convicted in the TWU incident. And the last time I checked 10 people does not make over 500,000 thugs and criminals.

He has no sin may cast the first stone.

And every person convicted of a crime has the chance to reform themselves.

But hey Boob, dont let the facts get in your way.

Guess you dont know how to read, the case was done and over in 1998, he recieved probabtion.

Don't let the facts get in your way.

And I doubt they were felonies all he recieved was probabtion.

You broke into an office, removed items and then snitched to your boss, you broke the law, plain and simple.

Keep on justifying your actions, you have no ethics and are just like the ones who you vilify.

Also ignore the fact he got probation and the case was from 1998.

But since you have no ethics I would expect nothing differant from you.

Nope cause you are all about Bob, getting your upgrades, treated like you are at a spa and not putting others before yourself.

Do I get a kewpie doll for calling the shot?

"IAM apologists will raise the point "the man did his time, give him a second chance, etc."

Dude, YGTBSM you're standing up for this? The guy pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property - in the real world, no responsible organization would let this guy anywhere near fiduciary responsibility - they'd get their butts sued off.

I give you credit - you make a point far better than I ever have.

To be in good standing with the IAM power structure, you've got to check your independent judgment at the door.

He has no control nor access to IAM funds, he has no authority to sign checks.
