You never know how it can make their day. They might just find that perfect girdle for Aunt Ethel or some new black socks to go with grandpa's white Nikes. VERY TRUE! There are many good employees that TRY to do the best they can, given the resources available. The PROBLEM is at The TOP.....either they are too arrogant, too ignorant or too stupid to REALIZE THEY ARE THE IDIOTS Running the Asylum. And to think they wanted to buy DELTA.........give me a f'ckn break and China......don't make me p*ss myself.

Anyone who ever knew me knew I ALWAYS tried to go the extra mile for our pax. One girl--31 years old with a brain tumor--and her husband became friends because I helped them get her to Ohio for surgery. Then when they got back I told him how nice dashounds were and how they comfort the sick. He bought her 2 dashounds and they are now the children they will never have.
Another young man 18 was in a car accident and crushed from the waist down. He had to get to SFO for reconstructive surgery and would be on big time pain killers. I called the airport and made sure he got the extra little help his mother and him needed. He's now able to walk and is in much better shape.
Then I thought the world of MY AIRLINE when my Dad went into a coma and America West got me, my boys and daughter in law on the same conx out of LAS to get us there in time to spend the last 12 hours of my Dad's life with him. For that I was forever grateful and took his picture onboard the inagural flight out of PHL.
I tried to do the same for a retiree by offering her a ride to Tahoe hospital from Reno when she called thinking she was on positive space. I accidently put her in sa1p--which she could have used being a retiree--and offered her a ride to the hospital.
Guess the days of family and helping are gone because some dummie in inventory reported my asking her if she needed a ride and I was fired for putting her in sa1p--which she could have used--and being "unprofessional" in offering her a ride. Sorry guys--don't do anything for the next person it could cost you your job. Oh I forgot--didn't we once have a big mandatory class on double bagging??
Yes, I'm still angry about this because I gave my life to US and there were many times I did not go home to see my Dad when he was terminal because I knew there was nothing I could do there, but I did help many others--our loyal pax, and they are loyal because of ME. I MADE USAIRWAYS FLY!!!!
