What's new

In the spirit of the holidays

Ouch! And I so wanted your approval.

I always went by the old adage

People who actually have class never discuss it.

Well on to a more positive note. US Airways has made some improvements in the way it responds to customers.

Timeliness is much improved. The software investment they made seems to be paying off with much shorter response times.

The software allows for Elites complaints to be routed and addressed first which is another step in the right direction.

Sometime glaciers seem to melt faster than change occurs in aviation. But we can take solice that while never fast enough the changes are taking place.

I have so many fond memories of US, beginning with my very first US flight in 1981, and I am very grateful for them.

To all my friends and co-workers from both sides of the airline..............I am thankful for your friendship and want to wish you all the Merriest Christmas and a Joyous 2010!!

I miss you guys!!

Duct tape! Yes, I am thankful for duct tape since it keeps this airline together on MANY levels!

I am thankful for our collective brutal honesty that is shared on here AND with that honesty I am also thankful for Edward, Richard, Ralph and the rest of the gang at (US)aviation (hmmm, must be some sort of subsidiary of US airways) for giving us a nudge or two in the right direction.

I am also thankful to be working in a field where most of the people say I love my job.

I am also thankful to have the opportunity to meet so many celebrities, regular people and freaks - and that's just on USaviation, nevermind the passengers.

I am VERY thankful for the crewnews sessions that Doug and Scott do. I would be even MORE THANKFUL if they did one in PHL where all the action really takes place. 😛h34r:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Now THAT would be a delightful holiday gift. I bet it would be well attended, and I doubt Dougie and Scotty would ever do such a thing.

Happy Holidays to all, however you feel you should celebrate them. Just celebrate them.

The same here. My first flights on US were in 1985. Without US, many things in my life would not have happened. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Things have improved this year, if we think back to 2 or even 3 years ago it was a disaster, maybe we've all gotten numb to it now. Either way... I see co-workers all over the system going above and beyond and it still makes me smile. I try really hard as a F/A to tell fellow co-workers that I really appreciate them caring and taking the time, because there are many who don't. When I'm really impressed I write a letter, it goes along way. Although the Sand Castle has made some very dumb moves, they've also made several positive moves by bringing in some good people to step up the game in some areas. I have a feeling 2010 will be filled with more positive. With the F/A contract moving into final stages, it will be so nice to finally fly with all my new found friends and make new ones too, when F/A's integrate. So heres to 2010 and the success of our little Swoosh!!

I thank US and CWA for my 4% rise without the two it would not have happen

I just had a nice set of flights over the holiday weekend on LCC. It involved PHL to/from a place in the midwest that was dealing with bad weather - but on time both ways, friendly employees, etc. (The flights were operated by Air Wisconsin, but I am sure most of the people on the plane, who overall did not appear to be frequent flyers, did not make that distinction and thought they were flying USAirways.)

Anyway - nice job, everyone! I used to go out of my way to avoid USAirways, even schlepping to EWR to fly CO. But my last couple of trips with LCC have been fine, and you can't beat LCC's schedules out of PHL, where I am located, so maybe I'll become more of a regular again if this trend continues.
