Tonight I got a robo call telling me to vote Democratic, and then gave me the name of the Republican candidate. Nice. I assume they think the 85 year old couple we bought the house from still live here.

Yeah....uh huh. And you expect us to believe you negotiated to keep the phone number the same as the people you bought the house from? Sure hope you're not a negotiator for the union...

No, but we still get junk mail from every over 50 organization ever, and scooter catalogs out the a$$. If you PM me your address, im shure I can lookup your number in a few minutes. I only negotiate for myself, and if i do say so, I'm doing quite well.

A few minutes?? I'm impressed!! Here's a whammy for ya!!

Laura bush called 2 times and I have received at least 7 or 8 more calls from various groups or people. I hang up after about 2 seconds. It's such a PIA to have to get up and answer the phone. There is no caller ID, just a phone number most of the time.

I do find it humorous that living in Texas, a typically republican state, they are having to waste their money campaigning here. Guess they really are nervous.

This is really sad, pathetic, low stuff. No matter what your political leanings, I would hope we can all agree that these tactics are not only unethical and, possibly, illegal - but that it is as UN-AMERICAN as you can get and should have no place in our electoral process.

Delldude -
How does that have anything to do with this thread about fraudulent ROBO calls that are clearly trying to convince AMERICAN CITIZENS that they may not be allowed to vote?

By your completely un-related post, should we assume that you APPROVE of these sleazy, low-life tactics that are taking place in Virginia just before election day?

Ask Alfred.......... 😛

As I write this post...there have been nearly 100 views of this thread. Sadly, not one republican has bothered to post his/her disapproval of these disgusting (and probably illegal) tactics.

Seems to me like we're seeing some true colors here. Some among us consider themselves republicans more than they consider themselves Americans. After all, what true American would just sit idly by and tacitly approve of anyone trying to deprive a fellow American of the most important right that so many have fought and died for???

Seems that some want to see republicans win so badly that they don't mind if other Americans' rights are assaulted in the process.

We should all be better than that.

Look at how Rove got Bush to beat McCain. When you have sleaze like that running a campaign, what can you expect? Politics has not been about serving the people for at least 50 years now. It has to do with obtaining power and using it to ones advantage. The levels to which any politician will stop no longer surprise me.
