Is Biden delusional? Tesla is the leader.

Tesla might be an innovator, but they're nowhere near the ability to mass produce EV's to the degree GM, BMW or VW can.

Tesla is about at capacity turning out 500K units per year. GM can build that many at just one plant running one shift on weekdays, and they have 11 plants just in the US.
I have to disagree with you on this note. It takes GM years just to develop a vehicle for mass production. They also just spent a billion dollars building a three cylinder Diesel engine that by all accounts is obsolete. Their factories are geared for gasoline vehicles and it will take years to turn them around. Also what good will it do them without the batteries to power them? By the time GM has finished discussing what to do Tesla will be in full swing producing 2 million EV’s a year and beginning production on three new models. The one EV GM produced has been taken out of production for a year. BMW and VW have already awoken to the reality of the difficulty it takes to produce an electric vehicle. The best they have come up with barely matches a 2013 Tesla. Let’s not even mention the tons of debt the Big Three are toting around. If there is no government intervention only Ford has a slight shot at surviving this. In the event that they do they will be playing second fiddle to Tesla for decades to come. Tesla just finished their Shanghai factory a year ago and is already expanding it. Giga Berlin will go into production this year with Giga Austin in January of next year bringing them up to five factories. As the two new factories complete their ramp up there is talk of Tesla starting on their India and Australia factories in mid 2022. Tesla can build a factory in 12 to 18 months, GM will take at least 2 years turning an existing factory around. There is a reason that Tesla is number one right now and by a huge margin that’s only getting larger. Tesla’s biggest competitor is going to be China, no one else is even in the picture.

Read a 10K credit, if you buy an electric car, in one of these Marxist/Socialist bills the clowns on the left are selling,

Only one problem......Tesla don't count for the credit.
As “Fact Checker” would say, “Partially False”, not sure why it wouldn’t be “partially true”. The total EV credits available is $12,500, $4,500 of that falls under the odd ball Democratic buy in to the gullible unionist that says, “the EV must be built in America by a unionized work force”. Which means it’s going to be built in Mexico. Since Tesla pays their employees more than their union counterparts they don’t need a union to squabble over crumbs for them, which means Tesla does not qualify for the additional $4,500 credit. Tesla does qualify for the other $8,000 in credits. That is of course if the bill is passed in the senate in its current configuration. We do of course know that if it does Brandon is going to sign it. He sold his soul to the union elites decades ago. I wonder how much in union dues the unions have paid that idiot in kickbacks? It’s got to be in the millions. We do know that there is no way that the UAW employees can possibly build an EV that can even remotely compete with Tesla so it’s really not going to matter.

Do you see where NIO and BYD are at the end? They will surpass VW before second quarter next year. They will surpass Toyota either at the end of 2022 and definitely before Second quarter 2023. Ford and Chrysler is already off the map as will be GM very soon. I really don’t think Americans have fully grasped what’s happening around the world, particularly in China. You think NAFTA was bad? What’s just around the corner is the absolute destruction of several legacy manufacturers around the globe. Here we are with an administration that is totally ignoring the one American company that is guaranteed to survive. Ford might survive but I’m pretty sure GM and Chrysler isn’t going to make it. For Ford to make it they are going to have to make some tough decisions so let me share with you what that means…that’s going to be shutting down plants and moving the majority of operations to Mexico. Oh they already see that coming that’s why they’re already preparing and going to build the lightning in Mexico. Yea, good ole Bill, NAFTA and the UAW opened that door wide open, hell they blew the doors off the hinges so there is no closing it. Your damn unions paid for this shet, paid damn good money to them politicians. So you guys just keep applauding the idiot in the White House that is leading all the UAW sheeple to the slaughter.

Yay Tesla, but I think you're grossly underestimating the ability of the Big Three to make a quality product in volume that exceeds Tesla's. And they'll eventually run out of rich liberals to sell them to.

I'm a truck person, and find Tesla's attempt at a truck a bit on the ugly side, but dang, that plug-in F-150 that Ford has right now looks pretty damn slick. So does that electric Jeep and the electric Hummer.

I can get one of those F150's for less than a Tesla, and it's a heck of a lot more useful to me. And, it comes with that nifty tax credit Dell mentioned.

I did some quick research on EV's previously. Looks like range and charge time are big limiting factors, compared to gas powered vehicles. Then I was curious as to maintenance costs.....biggest was the battery. What I saw was battery replacement alone was in the neighborhood of $5000-15000 bucks. I'm sure these batteries have very specific charging procedures and if not adhered to pretty specifically, will limit battery life down the road. I just can't see people not screwing that up.

You are correct Tesla nor GM are currently eligible for the tax credits. I thought I made it clear that the new bill that just passed through Congress and is headed to the Senate would have to be signed into law for any of this to matter. Once it’s signed into law it removes the 200,000 vehicle cap.

It is a good looking truck but Tesla offers three different variants, two of which Ford can’t touch. Yea, when they revealed the CyberTruck I was like, what the hell? Really? It’s grown on me over time though, I put my order in a few months ago minus the FSD. I’m like one million one hundred and fifty thousandth in line. Should have ordered a lot earlier. Yea, Ford has like a hundred and sixty thousand preorders. You should be able to grab one of those up pretty quickly. Providing Ford can find the batteries.

Those tax credits are a bit of a scam. The democrats way of keeping the poor man down. If you’re married you would have to have a tax liability of $37,500.00 to be able to take full advantage of it. If single $25,000 any thing less you start to lose it so if you have daycare or medical deductions you’re wasting your time. Yea, that’s how the democrats keep poor liberals and Canaanites under their thumb and voting for them. Put it out there like they are doing something for everyone but it’s really for the upper class and rich folks. Them liberals eat it up though. I’m not concerned, Tesla stock is going to pay for my truck.

All this about EV will be an oops when they realize that the infrastructure of the electrical grid cannot handle what they are wanting by 2030. Who is going to harvest crops in the fields when they want to get rid of oil, cars have a lot plastic in them and that plastic is a by product of oil. This whole thing of all electric by 2030 is going to bite us in the ass when it cannot be supported.

There is no getting rid of oil and there will always be machines that require fuel. The power grid is fine but it is going to require buffering. Solar, wind with battery storage will be a decent hand aid for a bit but small sodium/thorium reactors are the perfect solution for the issue. Not everyone is in it for for the environment I just don’t want to be slave to the gas pumps any longer, especially when you get idiots like Biden as a president. Most politicians preaching about the environment a full of BS and just playing fiddle to their idiot supporters. If they really wanted to do something about the environment they would start with banning disposable plastics. You don’t see anyone taking up that fight do you. Yea, environmentalist are just idiots virtue signaling with no interest at all in doing what it takes to clean op the environment.

I think your optimism for Tesla is a bit misguided. Most people, me included, don't want to sit around for hours waiting for a car to charge when we can gas up in less than 10 minutes.

You are also ignoring the fact that our electrical grid is completely inadequate to support everyone charging an electric car.

I do think we will go to electric cars eventually, but we have to have the infrastructure to support it.

You won’t be waiting for hours. Technology is an amazing thing these days. Also for the average person they will never have to charge away from their home. I’ve added a pool and pool house to my home along with a two story barn about to turn the upstairs of it into an apartment. Not once did I think that there was a power issue. I’m certainly not going to have any problems installing a car charger. Hopefully in the next couple of years I’ll be 100% solar. I’m by no means being optimistic about Tesla, it’s happening now. On average I spend $60.00 a day on fuel. I’m really looking forward to not ever having to visit another gas pump. Check out Cathy Woods or Sandy Munroe, see what they have to say about it. I’ve been following this company for years now. I started out being very pessimistic about it, now 90% of my portfolio is Tesla. The rest is in REML which I really do enjoy the dividends they pay but In January I think I’m going to move those funds into TSLA. It’s hard to give up passive income though. People think TSLA is Alan out cars, do a bit of research, it’s so much more.

LOL, Tesla sells “Cyber Whistle”. Sells out in two hours makes more in profits than the sales of Ford and GM EV’s combined crazy world we live in.
