Executives then take Golden Parachute and run?

The company looks great financially to investors but in long run it is deadly?

Or is it really wise to sell off portions of business. Like is Maintenance and Mileage Plus just too big of hassle to have in house?

Shame on you, you should care. IMHO.

Seems like Air Canada sold part of Aeroplan and their maintenance facility. Now United wants to do the same, but they want to sell all of Mileage Plus. This Senior Management and BOD needs to do this before Bush goes and since they are in the hip pockets of the Bush Administration.

Why ‘shame on me’? 🙄
It’s a ‘job’ and I have zero control on any decision UA makes on buying and selling assets. If I were an investor, I’d want the company to do everything in its power to increase my investment. If selling everything off other than managing the leased/contracted pseudo assets that have the potential to raise the value of my investment. I’d be all for it to increase my own personal wealth. Regardless of the political entities that have, had, and will have in the future (we’ve been hosed by them ‘ALL’) the outcome will be insignificant as long as the ‘people’ continue to be disengaged from the process.

I limit my energy to what I have some influence on and don’t waste it on what I don’t. I’ve had a blessing that I have had many years to prepare for the ‘no job’ scenario and have actively secured my position to where I am at a point that if UA liquidates my position, it will have little impact on my life. I may or may not work again, depends on if I want the RS350 or LX470.

Take Care,
B) UT
