Well you knew this was coming, have heard jumpseaters (both sides) being denied a ride to work or home. Call your respective jumpseat rep. maybe they can put out something before this goes to far.

sky high states: Your Post is lacking information. FOR WHAT REASON? Weight and Balance? Proper paperwork? Cabin or Cockpit jumpseats?

Let us know....=)

Okay. The mention of "both sides" should have been a strong clue as to the reason why.

I have no more information than you do, but my insight and intuition would lead me to believe that the jumpseat is being denied over the outrage experienced in the aftermath of the Nicolau "award."

Am I right?

If so, is it because I am psychic, or just have a keen grasp of the obvious?

BINGO!!!!!!!

Without specifics, the purpose of this post seems to be to stoke the fire, nothing more. If OTOH, safety would be compromised due to overwhelming emotion, then the jumpseat should be rightly denied.

sky high states; Guess I should read the ENTIRE BOARD before I comment. Just got home last night and didnt realize the temperament of the pilots. It was briefly discussed on my trip. Unfortunately, the temperament of this company is like this, pretty much, EVERYDAY. Your right, Nyc. My F/O seemed upset. He told me after almost 20 years, he now has maybe 25 pilots BELOW him.
I just shook my head, just like the many other things that go wrong on a daily basis.

How many flying U pilots did he have below him yesterday? Wasn't this a result of a furlough, not a ruling?

<copied>

The examples are endless on how our pilot group has been devastated because the Arbitrator totally dismissed the US Airways Merger Committee’s attrition based “career expectationâ€￾ fact and gave no credit for pilot tenure.

For example, we now have US Airways pilots with 19 years of tenure junior to an America West pilot who had 2 months of tenure when the two companies merged. And we have all of our furloughees, some with as much as 15 years of service with the company, stapled to the bottom of the seniority list.

It is simply not right for a 2-year AWA pilot to become senior to a US Airways pilot hired in 1988, 19 years ago, and the only way to stop this is to not obtain a new CBA.

He likely had at least 1700 below him..... ALL of which would be recalled within the not very distant future, giving that gentleman the left seat he has earned after 20 years of service to the airline.

Skyhigh,

This just doesn't add up!! If your f/o was at the bottom of the list before he should be at the bottom again. Ratio system works in this manner so nothing went wrong. Now your f/o may feel as though he is owed something and that price should be paid by us west crews. To that I say absolutly not!!!

Choices, we all have them. Your f/o could have left for JB, SWA maybe even Fedex but he chose to stay with AAA even when he knew that it was dying.

Choices, your MEC and merger committee WILLINGLY chose this process they WILLINGLY chose this arbitrator and neutral.

Choices, your MEC and merger commitee WILLINGLY chose to go with DOH even when they knew it was no longer part of merger policy yet said nothing until now!!

Choices, your MEC and merger committee had been informed during the SECOND SPECIAL MEETING in Feb (because your position was so damn unreasonable)that DOH was not going to be used, yet you refused to change your unreasonable position.

So in the end, we all have/had choices it's what we do with them that matters!! This case is over, it's now time to go get pre BK rates and return this pilot group to the upper class...

While I don't have a dog in this fight, I have to say: How many pilots did Odell have below HIM one month after he was hired as compared to the list?

Skyhigh,

This is not at ALL over. This "award" doesn't go in effect until there is a JOINT contract. The majority of us want nothing to do with a joint contract, much less getting a windfall pilot group to the "upper class!"

Yeah your right about choices.

NO joint contract

Not to get screwed again

BID (Burn It Down)

Have a nice bankruptcy 😀

Without a joint contract....You my friend won't be back in the upper class...as you say....
Then again... you probably have no class to begin with...
U East will vote NO...
No joint contract...
No pay raise...
Pity for you... 😀

Just my opinion...
