So, I have been looking around on the OIS off the FAA site and was wondering what a few things on there meant. I thought someone here could help.

First, what is CZY_APP?

And also maybe WX: SWAP

Is there a place (i have already looked in their help) where you can go to find out what some of their abbreviations mean? Like the one they have for the NOTAM contractions.

Thanks!
Chris

Can you give a link?...I've never seen this either! As far as weather is concerned, you can check "translators" for METARs, TAFs, AIRMETs, and SIGMETs, if needed. I have never seen that type of text associated with weather...but I am interested (I love learning more and more about aviation, so this added challenge is more than welcome!).

And welcome!!!

SWAP stands for Severe Weather Avoidance Procedures - usually mentioned in ATIS and lets you know there could be delays. Not sure about the other one, but it looks to be some type of controlling agency or sector - I would have to see the context to be sure though.
