Weez Tims video will be you ten minutes of fame you already used five  at the town halls
The weasle will be fine. Parker already promised that the money is there and even tossed in profit sharing. The negotiation team just needs to figure out how to divide the rest. Hopefully parker raised the bar from the unions initial lowball position of getting the best of both.

They had to report it that way, they would have killed him
not sure but i think his departure was the best for all. He prolly isnt a bad guy but he is most likely getting paid by the iam to be their pollyanna.

It should have been figured out already,I am definitely not encouraged by anything that happened this week. You need to get a tote board to show how much we are losing

Hopefully the iam reps wont be hard A about the iampf or maybe the twu rolls over and submits. I have a feeling the main negotiations are between the 2 union persons.

How to slice the pie?

Has the Association signed off on the profit sharing?

unfortunately, all I hear is "where is our money". No one seems to care about anything else.  Again, that's why I feel the NC needs to do a better job of informing the members what specifically the holdup(s) is/are. Until then, don't expect the mood to change. And without a mood swing, you will not quiet the criticism. Reality!

Agree. Very few people know the differences between the two CBA's and the challenges in trying to get a consensus with so many different interests. The Association needed to do a better job in explaining the differences in order for everyone to get a better sense of what we are all facing.

Unfortunately, we started this process 7 months later than they should have, but now that we are where we are the Members need to get the information to better understand the process and support the negotiations. As it stands, there is very little faith because there is very little information.

Maybe at the former AA airlines, the management and TWU reached quick agreement in the 3-6 months time frame. I don't know. And even though the name is still AA, it is US management now calling the shots. I can tell you from experience a 9 - 12 month agreement for this management team would be considered a quick agreement for them. I can also tell you that the company just isn't offering us 30 a hour without stipulations. A quick agreement, at 30 dollars a hour with no concessions isn't what is being offered. For those that think it is? Then your dreaming. If and when we end up with such a deal, it will be because of many hours of back and forth negotiating. This management team has and always will try to be as cost neutral as they can be. The challenge for our team is to get what we deserve without concessions. Yes we all wish it would come quick. But we who have dealt with this management team before, knows that it doesn't. We have to scratch and claw for everything. This is no surprise to us on the US side. Yes AA lives on. But US management is running the show.

It would probably help if there were examples of the challengers faced by the negotiators in order for the Members to see and better comprehend what we all face. As it stands, the delays after the NMB certified the Association has caused others to move ahead of us. Without some explanations, it is difficult for the Members to just "trust" how things are going.

For instance, does the IAM have language in which the Company is able to change people shifts with just a 48 hour notice? And they can change the days off too? On the TWU side, we have a 7 day notice with a limited movement of hours and no movement of days off.

To deal with something like this could be very complicated and it has a big impact on the Members. If they knew this is just a taste of what we face, then patience could be more easily attained.

Yes the IAM does currently have where the company can change shifts with 48 hours notice. And 5 day notice to change days off. These changes can not last for more than 30 days without a new bid being posted. And I understand what you are saying. I do t mind answering questions like you just asked. However to start pointing out all the differences, some of which many may not care about, would be very time consuming. But I will answer all specific questions that I can.
