Tim will there be a video upcoming or is it the plan to wait until this string of negotiations are completed?
there really arent any negotiations other than the pie being given to our reps and them trying to figure out how to shuffle it. Parker already claims the money is there and he also tossed in the profit sharing, which wasnt even in either contract.
Hopefully, they can figure out the rest without reverting to a united contract that only has FT protections for members with 17+ years.

Ill give a negotiation update on lombardo and our ta fairly soon. With the bar set at "The best of both contracts", i think we can all agree thats a low bar. Hopefully Parker gave us more pie than the bar that the union bosses telegraphed. We should be able to settle this already by at least grandfathering small stations and also lowering the twu flight activity bar, keep lavs, catering, tower, clp, and agree to the same days off as cwa which should include another week of vacation, holidays, sick time, etc.

Remember, 700 is a liar and said that the cwa gave up work but that isnt true, they expanded scope to include another 7,000 members who didnt even have a contract. If non contract peeps on the property can go from no scope to 5 flights a day, and zoom right by us on all the other stuff, then we should do alot better since we started from much higher ground of having 2 contracts.

Would you say the negativity is directed more to the ASS or the company?
Association overwhelmingly...again, they need to get out the message better.

We are very aware of what a penalty hour is, I believe US had it years ago too.
The UAL language allows for the company to tell the member after his assignment, I want you to complete the full hour anyway even if he can't give him another assignment. It also appears IMO in that language that they can force one hour nightly how I read it.

I don't personally see it being interpreted differently.

Ours (as I'm sure you know) we were told you needed to stay 7 minutes. That 7 minutes was not in the contract though so if (kind of nuts but) you finished that assignment and could get to the clock and badge out in 1 minute past your end time, you received 1 full hour of OT.

I'm writing this not just for you but the members who are reading who never experienced this benefit. It added up during the year to quite a bit of added money to people it was offered to or who volunteered to do it.

Fleet didn't have it, maybe in PIT,PHL, BOS,BUF. It sounds nice but not something to hold out for
Plus at $45 per hour I don't know how many mandatory  situations will arise

Absolutely something to hold out for. But like I wrote, they shouldn't have to. It benefits the company immensely as well.
