Agreed. these morons still haven't restored our retirement contributions from the company back in 1990. Idiots. We only have $1.10 and part timers like .70 cents. These guys are morons. Absolutely pathetic. Might as well say no retirement.
You're so right Tim. 2 weeks ago I sent these morons (IAM and TWU negotiators, Leaders, Lawyers and Economists) an IQ Quiz that I asked them to take and return to me. I just received all of those surveys back as they were due Friday and tabulated the results. Some of those scores were slightly above 70 but many fell just a wee bit below the 70 mark. Can you imagine my shock?

But admittedly I was highly disappointed that you chose not to partake and was adamantly against taking the test that I sent to you. Your E-Mail response to me telling me where to go was quite rude. I truly believe you had a shot at being able to score over the 70 mark yourself? I had faith in you Tim even if you didn't have faith in yourself.

I hope you reconsider in the future?

Real Tired is a mechanic, not fleet.

I know. It's ok. I'm personally glad to have him on board here. Actually he just posted a response to something I wrote on the Maintenance thread that I would love to respond to.

But I don't have any interest in stepping into that house again. I'm done with their thread. If he wants to post it here fine.

yet we just hired a 3rd party, paid by the Ass to screw up our seniority. Javitz hammered the sUA leads.
How so?

Not what I'm discussing here and personally could care less about seniority integration. If some guy hired on the same date as me transfers into my station and has that lower SS #................. Cest La Vie.
Couldn't care less about the method used, or couldn't care less about integration at all?

How many YEARS did we wait for the current contract of 2014?  How many times did we hear "hold out guys for just a little longer because huge increase in the pension multiplier, and big raises coming"?  What did we get?  Zilch.  A big fat cost neutral contract.

And the NC response, "they were tough negotiators, and we had to align ourselves with a possible upcoming merger with American Airlines.  We'll get them next time".

They did us no good.
"We had a gun to our heads."

"We just wanted to get a little cash in the member's pockets."

Etc...

I can tell you from also being on the seniority team that there aren't any major issues with fleet. While I can't speak completely about everything, Javitz is basically being called in by the association to look over everything and give a final ruling on whether the process is fair and equitable. With also giving the members a time period that they will be able to file any type of suggestions or protest directly to him if anyone so chooses. We do have a few small issues with the tower and load planners from the AA side that will be coming into the contract. But I can assure you it's nothing that will hold up the process.

700--

There are something like a dozen methods that meet the covenants on "fair and equitable" under M-B, correct? Depending on one's perspective, they may be anything but...

There isnt a disagreement on all issues, it was two issues, the tiebreaker and the leads I think.

Basic seniority has been agreed upon already.

Yea wow. They really did screw you. That extra $4.00 per hour you're making ($160.00 per week, $640,00 per month, $7680.00 per year) is a real jip man.

Yea they punked you big time.

$4.00 per hour?  Where did you get that?

We got 3% at date of signing in 2014.  We got 3 % 2 months later. And we got 3% to align us with AA a little more than 8 months ago.

Maybe..... (if I got out my calculator) it might be near that rate if we get the 1.5% in September if there is no JCBA.

Being more specific of course the method used. If I didn't care at all that would be just a little nuts.

Hold on here.

You're paying an organization a monthly fee to represent you, and one of the basic tenets of unionism is seniority?  And you don't care because it doesn't affect you?

That's kind of an anti-union philosophy, isn't it?

In FLEET for US they went from in the $20 and change range to now over $24. Remember if you're going to join Fleet talks (no problem) please be specific which group and company you're talking about.

No. Just saying especially when it comes to the tiebreaker I don't care if they use SS#, Birthday or my shoe size. For Fleet as CB said its not as complicated as it was/is for maintenance. And they obviously have to chose something?

Our biggest issue is probably those Tower people on the AA side that the NMB put into the mix? My "guess" is they will be separated from the ramp and you will have to be trained and qualify to go up there anyway?

The numbers for any issues just aren't huge in my group for me to get crazy about. And my company and occupational are the same anyway.

Thanks man.

You have some very strong beliefs, and some tenacity.

I just wish I could tell you my past involvement, but I will not rat anyone out including myself.

You've chosen your path, good luck and keep up the fight.

But I just came over here because Tim had brought up "mx" I thought because I'm not actually a Mechanic for American yet, (my contract says "between Us Airways and the IAM") I thought I'd respond.

But I think I'd better stay away................... Maybe.

WeAA,

Tower positions are in the IAM/US CBA right now, its a bid position.

I personally would rather you didn't stay away. I'd rather learn things then beat each other up.
