so much for seniority is settledWorldport said:Is this for Crew chief seniority or everyone? No one hired after me better be ahead of me on the seniority list. This should have been done the association bites
Robbed your LUS managers have LAA benefits I would bet the same to happen to us and Tim and no, no one is looking forward to itrobbedagain said:Worldport I dont know what our mgmt team has Ive never asked but Ive also been out on medical leave for a month now with a stress fracture Its healing I dont know what AA had for their health care plans I would like to see the proof from Tim regarding us giving up the health care Until I see proof I really dont know and I just dont think we ought to give a dam thing up the record profits speak for itself
He isnt in the capacity of arbitrator. He is a hired 3rd party that is NOT neutral. He will do what the iam tells him. He made $60,000 at united from the iam according to key people.Worldport said:Oh it's a recommendation not binding, man the rumors this is going to spawn.
This is contract going by way of UA AMTS we are in for the long haul. Someone blew it big timecltrat said:so much for seniority is settled
Zero. Lousy Politician. Don't kiss babies or body parts. And didn't spend as much on advertising as my competition.Kev3188 said:Ok. I was an elected GC in a couple of different stations.
Can't speak for MIA, but my experience was the exact opposite of what you described. It's was a lot of work, but worth it.
What positions have you been elected to?
Im now more free to raid the Association if these goons dont do their job before Christmas. We have to put some pressure on these guys to stop the boozing and lack of progress.Worldport said:This is contract going by way of UA AMTS we are in for the long haul. Someone blew it big time
It may be the quicker way to goTim Nelson said:Im now more free to raid the Association if these goons dont do their job before Christmas. We have to put some pressure on these guys to stop the boozing and lack of progress.
Im thinking "sign this card and collect your $30" campaign to make the Association to get things done in a timely way.
Basing it on a mixture of both. Not contempt for him or anyone actually. For the guy you're talking about though I don't think he's talented in understanding his contract and he dismisses most items in the negotiations as the "small items"Kev3188 said:Fair enough.
So are you casually dismissing a job you've never had based on your experience in one city, or because of your contempt for a guy here that has done it?
Fair enough, but no experienced Union man would diminish the work of a GC, either...WeAAsles said:No experienced Union man would call anything in a CBA a small item (including bulletin boards)
I cant tell you about your station here we have united healthcare the managers have a completely different plan.Where there is smoke there is fire I hope I'm wrong but I don't think sorobbedagain said:in my station Worldport, the station mgr and 3 of the shift mgrs are all ex LUS and 2 cases..1 an ex HP and ex PI plus we have one who is former Envoy I would like to see hard proof this is going out the door One thing i have noticed is that our BCBS is Texas instead of the states where the employee resides and or works But i dont think that would be proof our negoiations team is giving up our health care
So explain precisely what a GC does in the IAM? The structure is different than the TWU and again on my side I consider it a wasteful position in a fully staffed city.Kev3188 said:Fair enough, but no experienced Union man would diminish the work of a GC, either...
robbed, I can tell you this. If what you are recovering from happened on the job, you would have your medical bills paid for by workers compensation throughout the process. You will only get your missed pay covered for 10 days, then you can start using sick time. Before the downward spiral of the airline, we were given 80 days of pay coverage. Also, AA will try and tell you that you must see a company doctor for it to be covered under workers comp. This is false, if your family doctor accepts it, you may use your or any doctor that takes workers comp. I know this is a bit off subject, but just giving you a heads up. Last thing, when I got hurt at work, they interviewed me and tried their best to find somewhere where I neglected some policy, therefore trying to lay the blame on me and forcing me to use my regular Health insurance and sick time along with a letter in my file for policy neglect. Didn't work and workers comp actually sent them a letter and told them to pay me ASAP after they (WC) interviewed me.robbedagain said:Worldport I dont know what our mgmt team has Ive never asked but Ive also been out on medical leave for a month now with a stress fracture Its healing I dont know what AA had for their health care plans I would like to see the proof from Tim regarding us giving up the health care Until I see proof I really dont know and I just dont think we ought to give a dam thing up the record profits speak for itself
