The money is coming from us. This Javits guy sounds like he is making a huge deal out of this. Bringing in a law firm will cost. Also, the seniority situation which we were told was taken care of a long time ago must have serious issues. Either that or this Javits guy is just milking the cow along with the lawyers at our expense. If this is about crew chiefs they can just let the IAM stations keep it their way and the TWU stations their way. aybe there is more to this.
After speaking with a few of the former AA now working in PHX, I could see an obvious problem as it relates to furloughed workers.  As I understand regarding the TWU contract, if one accept the furlough, then their seniority begining to decline day-for-day after a couple of months, but with the IAM, one keeps their seniority during the entire furlough time.

So hypothetically, two fleet service agents one with US and one with AA, starting the same day, furloughed after 10 years with their respective companies hit the streets for 2 years, until they are recalled or transfer to another station.  The US agent will have 10 years of seniority, while the AA agent will have closer to 8 years.  This will be a real problem as the US agent with 10 years (2 year furloughed) will be ahead of even an AA agent with 9 years and never furloughed.

As we have large numbers of furloughed workers in the PHX station with varying degrees of furlough time, I could see this being a huge issue for some, and even with the AA guys working under different understanding as someone being furloughed and their seniority.

Incorrect. Read page 75.

If the Flight attendants get bumped up because the UAL agreement I would think they almost have to give us UAL+3% at signing. Tim that increases the monthly figure we are losing that you have been posting. Video now
Sorry WP, I'm smashed right now. Too many martini's. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

TWA guys already walking around talking about "Taking Crew Chief" and bumping guys out when they "Get their time back".I don't expect an arbitrator to put aside a previously arbitrated decision and blow things up.

Not a big deal  in MIA of course, but in the 25% cities with large TWA contingents it is.

I highly doubt that they will receive their TWA seniority back as that was a "mutually" agreed on Arbitrated decision.

The Association has already stated the TWA people wont get their time back, its has been settled already.

How seniority works will/should be written into the JCBA. So if you vote no on that we won't be integrated. But it also doesn't mean that it will necessarily change and actually I very much doubt it would.

That's why they're going with the neutral mediator/arbitrator in the first place. For the left over more difficult items that they couldn't agree on.

Again remember our integration is not as complex as the Mechanics.
Our seniority is just as complex. They are not going with a neutral arbitrator, they hired a consultant and he will do exactly what the company and Association want him to do. What business is it for the company to be involved? I don't personally remember a company being party to any seniority rulings before. Maybe Tim can help explain.

At this point after so many years if a TWA guy says to me "We're going to get all of our seniority back" I'm just going to respond, Ok.

After 15 years already it's just not worth arguing anymore.
