July - US Pilots Labor Discussion

The east found a whole lot of excuses not to fly jets during their illegal job action.

Like not having tape on inspection hole (not required). When it helps them east pilots can be creative. Not very smart but creative.

What I heard from the last crew news the Westoffs are calling in sick quite a bit.In fact, to the point of being understaffed.I saw a Westoff aircraft with two engines running right after push back. This is clearly an illegal job action being created by the Westoffs.

I will show you mine if you show me yours.

I have my set stored with all the other airline leftovers. Cap emblems of no longer existing carriers, and old versions of carrier names.

The funny part is when we were still alpa and wore such things the amount of other ALPA pilots (the ones that noticed, not that many paid attention, me included) that would say things like "Never seen ALPA wings with a star on them, they must be old ones eh?"

I have seen USAPA wings around, but I must not be on the right list...never received any. Though these days it really would not matter, the company longevity pins get tossed into the keepsake box now without ever being worn.

Ok I will. 1983 A&W started to operate service staffed by ex Wien Air scabs. In 1989 A&W pilots scabbed in Australia. You piss ants like to throw the scab word around and your ranks are filled with them. As far as 2004, I could care less who bought who. In fact, fine you win. A&W purchased US. Is that going to change anything? Your still a bunch of scabs. OK piss ant, your turn.

Hey that was pretty good.....but, I think all the Wein guys are gone...still have some EAL scabs and of course the Australia guys, but the Aussie guys actually don't fit the definition of scab I keep catching grief for not striclty adhereing to. So which is it, are the Aussie guys and the usapa supporters scabs or not?

I agree with you, the Australian pilots and the usapa supprters are indeed scabs.

I don't wear my company service pin either...I was wearing an AWA service pin to identify myself for east crews, that way they would know not to put their foot in their mouth and say something about the West. But I quit wearing that pin also, at this point I would get a good chuckle if an eastie said something derogatory of the West not knowing I was a West pilot. Can never happen though, because I am immediately identifiable as a West pilot by my likable personality and good natured humor.

I will take a picture of my ALPA pin and use it as my avatar if I can figure out how,,,,just to piss off Hawkhuntress.

I think you would be very surprised at the number of east pilots that have a set of ALPA battle wings in thier dresser drawer or pinned to their pre merger uniform jackets..

At least battle starred ALPA wings exist. USAPA will never have them because they will never have the opportunity nor the unity to carry out a strike. That should make anyone who is forced to subsidize a self-neutered union quite angry.

CBA must be redefined by USAPA to stand for :

Cooperatve Bargaining Agent?
Cuckholed Bargaining Agent?
Collective Begging Agent?

You flatter yourself a little much ...thinking what you post here pisses anyone off. I actually feel SLIGHTLY sorry for you.

Call the company. The injunction applies to usapa. They can explain it to the judge.

What year did us airways go on strike?

Because according to east pilots experience only counts for your current company.

The frustration in the western ranks is amping up dramatically. Lyle Hogg himself has commented on this.

Let me refresh your memory. This one hit close to home.

It is also worthy to mention that we at America West owe a great deal to
Ansett Airlines and Sir Peter Abeles. We have benefited from a large
amount of equipment from them (much of which was purchased at below market rates) and, also, we have a very large percentage of our company's stock in their hands that needs to be protected from the Donald Trumps of the world. I might also mention that the Australian operation contributes a sizable chunk to our bottom line. We will likely see an increase to our fleet size as a direct result, and we are surely putting ourselves in a position to someday have 747 service into Sydney and Melbourne.

Love him or hate him, Mike Conway is right about this, "We cannot afford to make policy and run this company based on the Jumpseat." His words not mine.
But, I agree and support his decision to send us to Australia. I am proud of the accomplishments we made and the professional manner with which we made them. Ansett Airlines has learned a lot from us about operating a deregulated airline.

The America West presence will be felt there long after we all come home.

So NIC how do you feel about the "ALPA CAL" scabs! Trying to take jobs from those UAL pilots! ?

Sure...lets start with 1983 and end at late 2004 and the purchase of USAirways.

You go first.

Oh god, now they are gonna get all butthurt and claim that AWA didn't buy USAirways, and they are gonna whine about how they were mistreated and then they are gonna moan about how they couldn't steal AWA's seniority...etc.

What part of "binding arbitration" do they not get? The binding part, or the arbitration part?

What a typically stupid response. Oh, wait...it's Mutatis Mutandis....never mind....I expect disconnected, stupid responses from you....
