Panic has set in on the east.

Hey boys. How is it you will be flying the 190 when you are so sure you are getting DOH? Could it be that reality has finally struck home?

No panic here, just a conviction that the union is and has been out of control. Grown men, supposed professionals acting like spoiled brats when they can't get their way. And then, there are the scare tactics...OMG, WE ARE GOING TO ALL BE FLYING 190s!!!!! What a farce. How many 190s are on order? ZERO How many Group II airplanes on order?? 400+ (AA and LCC).

Do the math children then grow up.

I'm convinced there's something in the water out East that renders your pilot group totally incapable of caring for itself. Individuals would be committed against their will if they demonstrated such an exquisite lack of ability. ALPA/USAPA...it just doesn't matter.

The company would never outsource every mainline job. That is scare tactics talk. Grow up. :lol:

I suppose you are right. It is OUR union since YOU can't even rally YOUR guys to vote in mass for WEST candidates.

I'm confused. Did Hummel put Owens on the NAC, or did they BPR vote to put him on?

Both. DCA has a detailed, succinct & truthful (IMO) update this morning that should be read by all members (available through USAPA's website).

This "Tastes Great!" - "Less Filling" nonsense between the Cleary Camp & the Hummel Camp needs to come to an end. Luvr's posts should give you the first clue. They would rather destroy any possibility of a new / better contract (with or with out AA) than have Hummel as a leader (my observation).

If you are a pilot based somewhere other than DCA or PHX, AND you would like a new contract: you should contact your representatives immediately and tell them what you think.
 
Must have been a fun day at the BPR meeting. The cry baby Cleary clowns did not get their way, got their panties in a bunch and walked out of the meeting. So much for representing their pilots. If the Cleary/McKee minority does not get their way they hold their breath stomp their feet and leave. Turns out they were not needed. So they loss the vote, because they are so emotional they don’t even debate the change. Whine about the rules being violated but after checking with the lawyers turns out they cry babies were wrong.

So all the Cleary radicals managed to do was delay the meeting and make themselves look even more ridiculous than they already do. This is not adult behavior from professionals. Anyone want to blame ALPA somehow for this behavior or is this just east pilots acting like east pilots?


President Gary Hummel informed the BPR he appointed John Owens to the NAC and removed Paul DiOrio. A motion was immediately made and seconded to approve these changes. DCA Chairman Joe Stein asked the 2 individuals to leave the room, as is customary, to promote open Board discussion. Before any action was taken, the CLT reps and a PHL rep (also holding a proxy) left the room denying a quorum. Since only the 3 PHX reps, 1 DCA rep, and 1 PHL rep were present, all business was temporarily stopped.

Without debate, the question was called, and the motion to approve the committee changes was approved unanimously by a vote of 6-0.

At approximately 10:43, the CLT Reps returned to the BPR room, and requested a return to the rules of order and a conference call with General Counsel. Business continued while the Conference Call was arranged.

the UOM review was temporarily suspended and the Board began the Telephone Conference Call with General Counsel Brian O'Dwyer and attorney Gary Silverman. The board asked 2 questions about the validity of recent actions. The attorneys could not speak to one of the questions, but advised that in their opinion, DDR Bodgan did represent a valid DDR and quorum.

I don't think my reps could care less what I think. Thanks for the heads up on the DCA update, that was quick.

Boy, if we are flying the 190's east you will be on the street, talk about panic.
