Update for July 23, 2012: This Week the BPR Will Consider Providing Mike Cleary Approximately 3 Months of Vacation

Update for July 23, 2012
Quick Fact #236: During his three year term as USAPA’s president Mike Cleary claims he did not take vacation. Cleary has asked the BPR to award him 3 years of unused vacation to be paid by the union. US Airways’ line pilots are not permitted to bank unused vacation. Should USAPA provide and the line pilots pay for Mike Cleary to receive 3 years or 63 days of vacation after his term of office ended?

Mike Cleary can have his vacation pay after he pays me back for everyday he was at home when he was suppose to be on the job.

Tell us Mike, how many days in 3 years did you spend at home when you were being paid to be in the office?

I bet it's more than 63 days.

Mike Cleary can have his vacation pay after he pays me back for everyday he was at home when he was suppose to be on the job.

Tell us Mike, how many days in 3 years did you spend at home when you were being paid to be in the office?

I bet it's more than 63 days.

Exactly.

Luv says he knows exactly where Cleary was everyday and who he meet with. Publish the calender. Can Cleary prove he was not at home or never took vacation days when he was suppose to be working?

I have been told by two separate reliable sources that "Cleary and Mowery was calling in sick for training for the last couple of months to get the summer off and continue getting a full paycheck at their previous King and I rates while they were in power."

The more things change the more they stay the same at USAPA. Not only does Cleary, and apparently Mowrey want to bank vacation, they are currently getting paid their LOA 95 pay and stipends too. These men ran the Association into the ground on their union paid cell phone from home while the rest of us worked to pa their three-year vacation while they were in office organizing the Permanent Injunction and No New Contract.

When will USAPA and its leadership ever change?

As long as the same entitled east attitude continues. usapa is the same as ALPA because it is the same attitude.

It was never ALPA that was the problem it is east pilots. You guys tried changing the name but nothing else changed except less oversight.

Oh, this is rich are these the same "reliable sources" that said we were merging with UAL, do us a favor and quit with your sources you have not been right. Update for July 24, 2012

Quick Fact #237: LOA 95 does not permit union officials to bank their vacation and have this benefit provided after their term of office. Unlike line pilots union officials on full AFB or FPL have weekends and holidays off with stipend or LOA 95 enhanced pay.Should the BPR violate the contract and create a resolution to give Mike Cleary a benefit not available to line pilots?

I don't know about Cleary's exact office attendance, but I do know that right after he left office he was on the CLT A320 capt reserve screen as not available for quite a while.

Our vacation does not carry over, why didn't he take it?
