Where were you when Cleary was screwing us? In case you've been asleep we've been parked with an injunction, just in time for record profits and a possible merger. Chances are we're going to get to sit here and watch everyone else (Delta, Alaska, United) get great contracts while we get zip. The guy hosed us big time and some of you on the east want to put him up for saint hood. Unfriggin' believable.

If I heard it right we will lose 2 bigger aircraft when we retire 14 737s and only get 12 A321s, which I guess takes the east to the min fleet.

I doubt you will see Jim on here for a while. He doesn't like to admit it when he is wrong.

You are wrong about him telling people that they are wrong about being wrong because he is never wrong! Remember, he closed bids about a half decade ago. ;-)
 
From the US Airways Q2 filing, under "Fleet Update" -

"The Company recently reached an agreement in principle to acquire five Embraer 190 aircraft from Republic Airlines. The aircraft acquisition is subject to, among other things, definitive agreements and approvals of the parties. These aircraft would replace certain regional aircraft and not result in incremental fleet growth. The first 2 of these aircraft are presently scheduled to go in service in the fourth quarter, with the final deliveries expected in early 2013."

Expect an additional 10-15 Captain vacancies for the E-190 on the next bid since they staff it at about 8 Captains per airframe.

Yes, then I suppose he won't be posting here for some time about people being wrong, otherwise it would prove that you are correct, and that is worse than him being unable to tell people they are wrong about him being wrong.
 
Anybody catch Parker's comments on the whining about the PHX base size during the state of the airline broadcast?
 
Rumor has it that the Cleary faction got their panties in a bunch and walked out of the BPR meeting with tears in their eyes.

Lost a vote to the MAJORITY and whined the rest of the day.
