If it is the Captains seat...it's the Captains seat...whether it is a Pilot, First Officer, Flight Attendant, whoever it's irrelevant...an assigned seat is an assigned seat. The door is closed...you must remained seated. As for the overhead space.....obviously you musn't have flown much or you would know that most of the time the overhead space above your assigned seat is already taken. And maybe this Pilot was in the back galley or lav during the boarding process and was trapped in the back? Did you ever think that could be a possibly? There are always two sides to every story and never ASSume if you don't have all the facts.
