Just got off a STT turn last night on the latest 767 that came out of Alabama. A/c 648, it had just come in from our hanger. Our maintenance had been working on the 8 pages of problems. I myself wrote a whole page of things that needed to be fixed. Including the f/a jumpseat seat belt had been threaded down to the bottom of the jumpseat, instead of at the seat. I couldn't fasten it that way.
The plane looked so clean and beautiful, but 2/3 of the reading lights were inop, 1/2 the audio didn't work, the exit sign over the overwing was missing screws and about to fall off.
Good grief! And the list goes on.... All superficial things, but geesh, couldn't they get those right?
What about the problems that aren't visible to the eye??
🙁 Like underneath the floor boards, behind the cargo liner panels, inside the fuel tank. Thats what truely sickens many of the safety dedicated maintenance people, and the reason for many of the departures. And don't give me that crap about scaring the public!!

The writing is on the wall but everyone is to blind and greedy to read it.
