Why don't you just claim that I am working with Nigeria to get nukes and then attack me and all of my neighbors. Then when somebody in-the-know lets it be known that there was no connection with Nigeria/nukes you can rat out their CIA wife who was actually DEFENDING OUR NATION. And then when the guy that you put out there to take the fall so that the top level of the executive does not have to gets sentenced you can just eradicate all of that sentence except for the monetary piece that is miniscule.

So...now that i've brought this back on topic from your idiotic schoolyard gibberish, explain to me how pardoning somebody that took the fall for a crime that the Pres/VP were actually responsible for committing (i.e. telling Libby to leak the info) is not a conflict of interest. Bushie is commuting himself since the crime was committed at the behest of his regime. That is totally different from Clinton's pardons which are actually fairly close to Bush's at the same points in their 2nd terms.

I noticed something when looking at the pardons/clemency of Clinton. Only about 20 that I counted were even sentenced during the time that Clinton was in office. Meaning that nearly every single one of the people had severed at least a portion if not their entire jail sentence.

Point is that Cheney and Bush threw Libby to the lions in order to avoid the full out investigation regarding why a commander-in-chief and his 2nd in command would possibly want to rat out a CIA agent...especially during a "war on terruh" in which we would want our clandestine services under even more protection. And then when he was "convicted" and sentenced, Bush erased the sentence essentially making sure that the American public knew that it was a-ok for the executive branch to do whatever they want for partisan politics...even if it means killing thousands of our own men and women for our "freedom" (again...were we under Iraq's control? why did we need to "free" ourselves of them? don't you think the Iraqi's would want to "free" themselves of those that have been occupying their country for several years now? but i digress into intellectual, thought-provoking topics that i know you hate. Maybe Paris Hilton is back on TV...that's more your speed)

I do not recall making an issue of the fact that Scooter did not serve any of his time. I do recall saying that "most" of Clintons pardons were don't after most if not all of the sentence was served. My issue with Scooter is as Ch 12 pointed out. He is the fall guy for a crooked administration.


Facts misconstrued in Rich case.

"Did you represent a crook who stole money from the United States government, was a fugitive and should never have been given or granted a pardon by the facts that you know?" snapped Kanjorski.

"No, sir," Libby responded. "There are no facts that I know of that support the criminality of the client based on the tax returns."

Hey rookie, if you had read my many post you would know that Im not a blind republican (bush) loyalist, in fact I have criticized him many times on these boards.

I've come to realize that the backbone of this country has lost its voice in politics and we are fiddling while rome burns. What I do know and understand is that we as a sovereign nation are systmatically being dismantled by the politico in washington and its coming from both sides.

And I'm sure that he's read enough of your and Delldud's posts to realize that your only four tactics are to #1 try passing conservative blogs as real sources, #2 post random numbers or statements with quantitative figures that have no backing at all...thinking that a post on the internet makes it truth, #3 you stick to the code red keywords given to you by Rush and Coulter...can't think for yourself outside of terms like "cut and run", and #4 just like this thread, you ensure that every thread strays from the topic when you cannot create any intelligent argument.

So...back to the thread since you have ADD when it comes time to threads...how does an administration that "prides" itself on national security commit an atrocious act that compromises our security, work the legal system to ensure that a minimal charge is all that will stick, and then commute the sentence telling every american citizen that it is NOT ok for citizens to "compromise" national security (i.e. our gov't controlled media) but it is perfectly fine for the top level of the Executive to do so. I know, I know...no argument. Steer the truck away from that pothole b/c you can't find your way out of it.
