March 8th, All quiet on the TWU front

This whole charade has been by design to LOWER expectations.

The AA/TWU working together has about reached their breakthrough goal of lowering expectations and therefore a more meaningful quid-pro-quo agreement is near.

TUL union meeting : We were told the mediator canceled the Tulsa meeting, because the company did not sent people that could make decisions, even though he had asked them to do just that.
We were told that AND that the TWU didn't pare the negotiators down as the moderator had asked which was the reason for the cutback of a month ago - there seems to have been a few whiney-butts that were indignant re: their "not being involved" and whoever made the decision about who was staying in the room gave in to said whiney-butts and made the in-room committee larger again than what the mediator wanted in addition to the company not sending enough horsepower to actually negotiate as was stated above.

Neither side seems to be very serious re: these talks - ie, we seem to be dealing with a foregone conclusion re: a settlement with both sides simply wanting to drink all the whiskey before settling the contracts. Now, we have a "delay" per the request of a NLRB official that I believe was paid for, like everything else re: company and union antics.
