Bull, I respect your opinion, we are on the same team. I know this, because I spoke with him yesterday. He will drop the LEC position. If not I will be all over his ass, and he don't want that, trust me.

Regardless, my money says he will not resign his position from CLT.
If he were really serious about doing the right thing, he would not wait for some lame agenda item to pass at the BOD. It will NEVER pass and he knows it.
U is not the only airline within AFA. There are too many small airlines that MUST be BOTH MEC and LEC. Heck, even America West, the 3rd or 4th largest airline within AFA, has only one LEC and he therefore is also the MECP. There is no way the other 25 airlines are going to willingly restrict themselves just so the U MEC can play politics. Besides it takes a 2/3 vote to change the C&B which is extremely hard to obtain.
Mike knows the agenda item will fail just as it did last year. Once it does, he will go to his members and state that he "tried" to change the Constitution but could not and he therefore must remain at both helms CLT and MEC. Of course HE can elect to resign either position at anytime, he does not need the permission of the BOD but most flight attendants will not understand this fact. Mike is using the BOD as an excuse to retain his seat in CLT without looking as if that is exactly what his intention was all along.
If you are not Mike, then he has just pulled the wool over your eyes.
Here is why I believe you will never see Mike resign his CLT LECP seat:
1. If he did, then Ann automatically moves into the seat and takes control of CLT's approx. 1700 roll call votes.
2. I believe that those heading up the recall of Laura in Philly have a very good chance of being successful which means that seat would go to Terry Graff UNLESS the newly elected PHL Sec Treas resigns as she has threatened. If PHL gets down to only one officer that will cause an election which I believe would put one of the two previously unsuccessful candidates in charge of ALL those PHL roll call votes. After all of Mike's recent stunts, I doubt he will be supported by a new LECP in PHL.
3. Last but not least, once the merger is completed, PHX, which has a roll call vote almost as large, if not larger than PHL's will make the 7th LEC and the 7th vote at the table however it will still only take 4 to elect. After the crap Mike and Laura have pulled, I doubt that Mike will be able to gather the required 4 votes and instead the seat will go to the Am West MECP or Previous MECP, both good men who care about their members more than they care about personal agendas and power.
Mikey will only have himself, his ego and his politics to blame for his own demise. That is what happens when you get so wrapped up in politics and power that you become divisive.
