Every press release that I have read lately says nothing about AWA acquiring US. They (us/awa) have financial backers to support a proposed "merger". At this point, it doesn't seem as the AWA is buying anybody or vice vera. Who knows???

Agreed. Seniority disributions are not always equal. Seems to me the fairest way to merge lists would be on a percentile basis, i.e. anyone on the bottom of their respective lists would be at the bottom of a combined list, those in the middle would be in the middle of combined list and so on. Don't hear much talk about this.

You basically just described DOH!!!! Those at the top have more seniority, those at the bottom have less seniority and then you have those in the middle. Nothing but DOH will work in this situation. Why are we even talking about this anymore?? We cannot change it. Bylaws are Bylaws. No matter how much you like or dislike something, it is going to be that way. Sorry

Your exactly Twicebaked......what is gonna change? It's written in black and white in both carriers contracts. Some peoples arms must be ready to fall off from all that stirring of the pot their doing....LOL 😀

you are correct...this is not an airline buying another airline!

this is the formation of a third holding company ...using investors equity to....

..... consolidate......

a certain number of airlines,including ,but not limited to, ...awa and usairways,

...with doug parker from awa, and his team,... running the show.. using the usairways brand.

With that in mind and if that is true (which I believe it is) would anyone at AWA like US to staple YOU at the bottom??? Since your company is not buying US, is it fair for US to now staple you??? I didn't think so. Therefore, it will only work with DOH.

I know it is not really the AWA people complaining, but those who have really nothing to do with this subject. Just making a point.

Are you joking? If anyone knows anything about mergers, it would be the employees of what is now US Airways.... Allegheny Piedmont PSA Mohawk Empire Lake Central Trump Shuttle, what else am I missing in the complex geneology...
