If u think ur srewed now...oh boy......remember the mechanis walkoff???

That's strange, 'cause in this thread, it says UA and US are hooking up.... 🙄 🙄 🙄

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You know KEV,.......Anything is possible in this SCREWY Industry........and it's true, BIG RED might have an Interest in LLC's "AIRBI", and E70's,...............................But I just don't see STEENLAND touching PHL with a "sterile" 10 foot pole !!!
If IT did happen, (coupled with UAL/DL already "breathing VERY hard")..that would leave the "odd" combo of AA and CO !
As luck "might" have it, AA/CO's fleet(s), are VERY compatable(737-800's/757's/767's/777's....and CO's 787's enroute) !!
The mere FANTASY of AA Absolutely DOMINATING NYC(especially JFK/EWR) might be TOO much, for my ol' brain !!!
????
Show me the $$$$$. The time we have all been awaiting...buyout time!
I for one would like to see US Airways succeed, but I think our mgmt is way out of there league. Can't run an airline, and could careless about the employees well being. Money has already been made. Sad. NEXT?? 🙄 Conway are you still retired?? :unsure:
I think a merger with Northwest would be a great match. I've been saying that for a while, too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
:up:
Just what US needs more labor problems with scab mechanics at NW.
Actually, a hookup with NW makes the most sense, which means it probably WON'T happen. Many if not most of the people currently in the Sand Castle have history in the Snow Palace, and the route systems would fit with some tweaking. The CFM powered Airbii in NW's fleet are among some of the oldest, with one or more already having been scrapped as it had exceeded the airframe life, so the new Airbii could replace those easily.
Now whether or not the combination is with the entire US, or they split East and West and combine those separately with other carriers, is another interesting question. As stated earlier, I think we'll see changes and combinations many of us never thought of, but suffice to say I think 2008 will see a major change in the landscape of this industry.
What has me concerned, however, would be to see the current crew running a yet larger airline--they have not demonstrated that they can handle what they already have......
My BEST to you all....
