Your contract is dead in the water and soon you will be under the IAM/US CBA, welcome!

The IAM upon certification will negotiate a transition agreement and make improvements to the current CBA, like what has been done in the several previous mergers that we have been through.

So is Andy too busy loading boxes since you posted wrong information?

No you cant force the company to open the contract.

Under the RLA they don't have too.

And the company all ready said they will negotiate a transition agreement.

then why does the trasition agreement for the AFA call for new contract negotiations????

besides, can you say that today the IBT is currently involved in an organized scab drive, such as the IAM is???
 
Because they are both the same union and the company agreed to negotiate a combined contract.

There is no official card drive from the International nor the District.

It does not matter you represent scabs at CO, once a scab, always a scab.

then why is it that the IAM leadership is just wanting to keep status quo( leave it alone) until 2009, why are'nt they trying to get more for the members..... there are some at NWA wandering the same????

not to mention, someone on here has been saying that the contracts can not be changed due to the BK judge. if the AFA are getting a new contract, how is that not being changed in the eyes of the judge???

BACK BEFORE THE IBT WAS VOTED IN THE COMPANY TOLD ALL OF THE UTILITY WORKERS AND THE MECHANICS THAT WE DID NOT NEED A UNION AND THEY WERE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF US IF WE DID NOT VOTE IN THE TEAMSTERS.

AFTER WE MISSED THE VOTE BY 15 OR SO THE COMPANY A FEW MONTHS LATER FIRED ALL UTILITY WORKERS,BACK SHOPS,AND MORE AND 500 AMT's WERE OUT VOTED BY UNSKILLED LABOR.

ONE YEAR LATER WE WENT TEAMSTERS 104 AND THEY HAVE FOUGHT HARD TO GET BACK WHAT WE LOST!
NOW I HAVE SOME UNION THAT AND MEMBERS TRYING TO TELL ME THAT THE IBT LET AMERICA WEST OUT SOURSE WORK AND I CAN TELL YOU ARE FULL OF IAM BS.

Guess you cant fight at all since Timco and Aeroman are doing your heavy mtc and ETOPS mods.

On the east side we have been through two bankruptcies and still enjoy better scope language then your so called ibt cba you fought hard for.

It took two bankruptcies to bring our cba down to your level.

you have lost scope under your contract, who does the heavy on 1/2 of the 37's, all 330'and 57's????? spare us of the 2 bk's ansd such, your leadership should have said no to any outsourcing.. we did not have a union say when we lost heavy
where is george's number, i am waiting to call him for a copy of the 50 year old contract that has stockers in it!!!!

WE WERE NON-UNION WHEN THE C-CHECKS WERE TAKEN AWAY THANKS TO THE UNSKILLED HELP WE HAD. REMEMBER THE COMPANY FIRED THEM AND THEN ONE YEAR LATER WE GOT THE TEAMSTERS UNION IN AFTER THE UTILITY WORKERS POSITION WAS GONE.. LOL

AND As I have said The Teamsters have fought hard to bring back work in house.................................

And the A330 is outsourced.
