More Mechanics Out The Door

Ronin,
This will be my last reply also.
Your bio surprises me because you seem to realize how important it is to keep your options open, but fail to see the big picture at Ual.
With the amount of hours you put in, owning your own business, I would think you would have a better grasp on what Ual is going through.

You don't have to believe I was a mechanic. It really doesn't matter what I was. What mattered was how I conducted myself at work, and the work ethic and attitude I had.

Good luck to you and you are more fortunate than a lot of your peers. Having a second career to fall back on gives you a lot more secuity.
You will still get a retirement from Ual. Even if they give it to the govt. to handle.

atabuy,

Dissapointed in your comments and vibe toward this topic and The Ronin. However with your attitude I feel that I have waisted bandwidth on you.

The Ronin,
Stay strong my brother. I'm out on the street and happy. I feel for you and others towing what is left of the line admist the stress. Don't take it home.

Today is a great day. The guys on my crew had their layoff letters withdrawn 🙂 Maybe just a short reprieve but I'll take ANY positive news I can get. Hopefully someone, somewhere realizes we are just too short of qualified people.

 Good news indeed!! Maybe(Hope) they will start recalling some of the folks out on street soon.
