Good news and bad news.

Good:
The Carolina Hurricanes are in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs!

Bad:
The ticket prices went up $10.00 per seat. If they make it to the next round the seats go up another $10.00 and so on. Since I bought tickets early, due to having season tickets, I did get them cheaper than if I'd waited until the last minute.
If I and miss a game, I don't get to use that ticket for a subsequent game nor do I get credit towards a future purchase!

Should I just go and watch an AHL game since it is cheaper, although I'd have to drive an extra 2 hours to Charlotte to get there?
Should they raise prices just because the demand is there?
Should the prices go up as the game gets closer and they sell out?
Should my tickets be refundable? (after all there may be an empty seat at the next game.)

Are they gouging me?

(Does this sound familiar?)

Let's Go 'Canes!!!

And this has what to do with US Airways and Aviation?

BBB is that you? I thought you lived in FL. these days. <BTW, you need to start pushing away from the Buffet a litte quicker> 😀

It depends........what status are you with the 'Canes? Are you Silver,Gold, or Goaliemen's Preferred?

And do the 'Canes offer a snack basket offering a large variety of bandages, peroxide and crowns? Or is that only for PHL games??

Got your point, but back to the Canes. It's a good thing they are not playing BUF in the first round or you might not have to worry about ticket prices for the second round ..... lol lol

Hate to bust your bubble but their is no AHL team in CLT, however their is an ECHL team and quite frankley the talent isnt that good. They do however play in a nicer arena than most NHL teams and would love to see one land here probably not though! Go Canes!!

A mind is a terrible thing to use...
Apparently you have a comprehension problem.

The title of this board is US Airways on US Aviation.

Not Sports and the Carolina Hurricanes.

Well by all means, contact a moderator and have them close it. Then we can all go back to reading about the IAM thugs, etc.

My guess is the OP was poking a little fun at all the rants being posted by some of the FF around here. I happen to think that is was funny and quite creative. Get a life, or a least a sense of humor.

We now return you back to the usual BS about how great the IAM is......

How does US First Class meal service PHL-ORD compare to UA's?? OHH Pardon me, my bad US doesn't have F/C meal service PHL to ORD! How stupid of me not to know that it's my duty to pay more and recieve less.

Bob, don't get butt hurt buddy, BUT make up for it in mixed drinks! 🙄

Bob in all seriousness the merger is taking a toll on directors and managers all the way down to the average joe and susie. It's a rough ride for the majority and as time goes by things should smooth out. It's quite possible folks are getting overwhelmed with suggestions and just can't implement them fast enough to everyone's satisfaction. We've lost some key people on both sides without replacement. Couple that with the task of merging two complex airlines = slow pace for change.

Excellent points Piney, and if you you recall BBB once mentioned he could charge a little more than WN because of all the added amenities. (Funny I don't recall him offering to price a little bit less than B6 or UA where his service was lacking.)

I love the scalping analogy too - see, the airlines got smart and decided to keep the really good seats and scalp them themselves.

Hey here's an idea - what if we started a company and got US to sell us those seats up front, maybe 6 months in advance, on consignment. Then we offer them up to the desperate business guy looking to buy at the last minute to close the big deal (with a cut back to US). Then US is off the hook for gouging, WE look like the bad guy profiteers, and everyone is happy.

PS - if anyone actually does this I want royalties.

700 seriously needs to get a sense of humor, or at least an attitude adjustment. I also am a FF (and not a very happy one), but I thought this was hysterical!!
