New Destinations for 2008

If you have been to Tokyo(NRT) you would know NW has several Airbus aircraft based there to bring connecting traffic in so it is not unreasonable to think an A319/320 would be at NRT. Before everyone jumps me I know US is not starting a hub in NRT. I am merely pointing out that a A319 is not unthinkable at NRT.
US has to get slots at NRT for their PHL/PHX first. They are not going to use an A319/A320 over there for feeders. They have All-Nippon for that. They are a SA member.

Obviously we know that A319s fly into NRT as do Dash 8s and 747s. And yes, we know Northwest has a hub there. It is very unreasonable that US Airways would have an A319 there as they are obviously not going to be granted enough slots in a highly restricted airport to start a hub in a part of the world in which they have no service. A US Airways A319 would be as odd a sight on the moon. Just because US Airways doesn't fly there doesn't mean we haven't been to Tokyo...

there will be 3 new express dest out of clt announced this week.

Hmmmm....based on your hints at airliners.net I'll have to guess

BTR
AUS
SAT

with AUS possibly being upgraded if it performs well.....hopefully to an E190....god I love that plane.

EDIT Nevermind, I didn't see that you said no Texas. Damn. Austin looks like a no brainer, with high O/D and relatively high fares.

How about a daily from hvn to clt on an erj170??? I hate the dash lates to philly.

Baton Rouge would make sense, since Shaw Group is under-going a major expansion in Charlotte, moving there largest division there, but the HQ will remain in Baton Rouge....I could see this generating some decent demand at high yields.

Maybe Des Moines, because of the larger concentation of financial jobs there, but I'm not sure much is related to the banks in Charlotte.

Some possible, but more obscure destinations could be,

Tupelo, MS
Bloomington, IL
Toledo, OH
